I understand a lot of the frustration, but honestly, World Eaters abd Thousand Sons really needed this. They have the least unique models of ANY faction in the game. They NEED their second wave abd detachments. World Eaters also lost their 9th ED codex within 3 months due to 10th.

And also the World Eaters got the worst army launch of 9th IMO. They didn't get things that seemed essential like the Red Butchers and don't even have infantry lords, so the Juggernaut lord is just a big target to be shot off the board without anyone to lead.

The big chaos knight kits have gone to "Sold out online" on the store. There's a good chance that this means the kit is being changed / refreshed in some way. Although, occasionally stuff that is just being reboxed (as opposed to going away completely) gets marked as "Sold out line" even though it is coming back.

It would be interesting to see the Salamanders given a full codex for 10th, but if your suspicions are correct and it's an updated Space Marines codex, I really hope they go to town on making the armies like Imperial Fist, Salamanders, White Scars etc feel very unique and give them all some love and put in a lot of theme specific detachments for them and rules. It's a shame the Space Wolves update may not arrive until Autumn, maybe even Winter this year.

It'd also ask the question of it "Where does Be'lakor go if there's no deamons" I know at this point they probably won't have a codex but the undivided deamons probably aren't going anywhere, they are just gonna make a detachment that focuses on allying deamons for each monogod faction.

PLEASE GIVE US AUTOMATONS FOR THE THOUSAND SONS! Please take more inspiration from the Horus Heresy. There are some GOATed units and minis from that range that the Traitor SHOULD still have to this present day. It's part of my biggest grips with the CHAOS Space Marine range. It's just Chaos. There should be stuff to represent the Traitor Legions of the Horus Heresy, some level of continuity between those two ranges. Right now, you've got the four diety legions and Black Legion. Night Lords got something for them, but barely. Word Bearers can make use of the Chaos range since they drank the Chaos Cool-Aid first. But something to represent the Iron Warriors and Alpha Legion would be beyond cool.

As a Salamanders player, the only reason I'm hoping for a full Sally supplement is because the road map teases specifically upcoming Codex's/Codex Supplements. It's a bit odd that the Salamander pic is the only odd one out. I'm fully aware I'm huffing hopium here, but give me a properly divergent Salamander list! An extra character and a bespoke unit will do! I'll take Bray'ath too please! Though realistically, it's a new He'stan and maybe, if we're lucky, a new upgrade sprue.

If I were a betting man, I think Tsons will get a second wave over WE. Tsons needed a new wave long ago. Thats assuming WE dont get a second wave, with EC now getting their range. It would be odd if they didnt considering lore and art surrounding other units but its GW after all haha. At minimum, 1 new WE unit and then the Khorne demons added to fan the flames a bit. The daemons range going into their respective factions will signinficantly increase their amount of options, so thats something. Im fine with Votann possibly being last. Just means I dont need to bother with a codex and can wait until 11th. I just wanna see the model range heading into 11th ed where theyll be my main focus.

10th -> 11th is almost certain to be a side grade vs. a full on reset, in which case all the 10th ed codices will still be fully compatible with 11th We shouldn't be seeing a full on hard reset/indexhammer until 11th -> 12th edition

I actually think it will be Codex Supplement Salamanders. On the basis that Russ can plausibly be back late in 10th, the question would be which loyalist Primarch next? Vulkan feels obvious, so give salamanders their own codex and a few unique units to grow the Salamander player base ahead of time and seed future sales for Vulkan in 11th or 12th edition.

I personally think Be'lakor is a great pick to put in the Chaos Knights codex and keep his power level comparable to a Knight. That way he can still ally in to CSM and the legions without worrying about him breaking the game like he does in Sigmar.

i would guess grey knights and space wolves both get a refresh this year, bringing it to 5 big 40k releases which seems about right for a year with no major system edition release. votan get a big release next year and their codex only lasts 4 months. drukhari are the big bad for 11th.

They literally had to bring the deathwatch index back after removing it, so theres almost no chance we wont keep the daemons index until 11th (and its not like they'll add 4 daemons detachments then immediately remove them). After 11th we dunno but i cant imagine there wont be a way to field undivided even if its not optimal.

WE are looking like an Easter release which means a reveal at Adepticon in late March makes sense for that reveal. DG and TSons possibly at the same reveal.

@@timunderbakke8756 Orks are the rumored big bad for next edition sadly... I wish it would be Dark Eldar, even though I collect Blood Axes. Us Ork players could easily wait another edition for things like new Boyz, Nobz, Lootas/Burnas, etc... Dark Eldar really need a full on overhaul at this point

I’m confused. If Chaos Daemons get rolled into their respective factions, would that mean Chaos Daemons wouldn’t be a faction anymore? Or would it be like they did in 8th and 9th Edition, where Nurgle Chaos Daemons (except character or HQ models, such as Great Unclean Ones) could join Death Guard, etc., but Chaos Daemons still remained Chaos Undivided?
