Can we work our magic and transform this bungalow into the light, bright, hip and trendy little home it’s meant to be? Watch to find out. This episode is sponsored by Ashley Homestore. Their new lifestyle furniture line-Urbanology was the perfect fit for our project. Urbanology features Mid-Century Modern, Boho and Urban looks-something for everyone’s style and budget.

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article kzbin.infoUgkxibD_L3sDyYENL5CwePCd9plRBqjzw2mw At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is a good stuff.

HOw does it make you sick? This is how markets work, the once "nothing out there" is now the booming place to be. One builder or investor started it all. Exactly what wholesalers be saying "help the community". That neighborhood is exactly like here in Dallas smack down where I'm living. You got old ish houses right next to brand new pre-designs and mod homes. Ye improvement values jump bug time with shit homes like the one I'm in. Easily sells for $300,000 tri-plex that was once $90,000 and it started 3 years ago when they tore down one crapped out tri-plex and build a super high end tall guy reviews type duplex right across the street. That's just how the market is my dude. Get em low sell em at the top... on seller finance LOL

I love the reveal! Although i think what would’ve brought to the look of the kitchen together more would’ve been keeping the finish of the metals the same. For example, the sink and cabinet hardware are gold, the fixture is matte black, and the stove and hood are silver. I think keeping a bit of consistency throughout a home for those small details really help.

making money flipping houses is almost impossible. Especially when you dont do any of the actual work yourselves. These two are not making a good living from Flipping. Thats why they are trying hard to be a TV show and get in on that youtube renevue. Trust me. flipping houses is super difficult to profit on. Most people underestimate how much renos cost. and paying for trades to come in is very costly. If you can frame, hang drywall, run wires.. install flooring. or tile.. then you can make money by doing a lot of work and building sweat equity. If you just stand there and talk about ashley home furniture while people work to reno.. you will NOT make $70k. lol

Mitch Thompson it’s actually pretty easy to make money. Especially if you have multiple houses you own and sell. I don’t know why you’re saying it’s basically impossible when that just isn’t the case. Each case is different, but you make the money back and profit when you sell. People usually have Reno budgets when purchasing houses and fit that in when they resell, they still make a profit.

@lishaw.3624
@lishaw.3624 3 жыл бұрын
@@acommentator69 a couple months later, but diversity is good. It’s good when it doesn’t put people out of housing. When some neighborhoods get gentrified, landlords raise rent- meaning if you can afford the rent (weather residential or commercial) you lose housing OR businesses. While we’re on the topic of diversity in neighborhoods, can we talk about white flight? It seems that people only want diversity in neighborhoods when it benefits white people. When the minority starts to move in, the majority moves out because it “lowers property value”.

Yup! There's a big difference between fixing up houses to create more useable housing and flipping stuff for the gentrification machine. They shouldn't take it personally. My dad grew up in a home with 3 rooms, his bedroom, his parents room, and then the joint kitchen/eating area. No living space, no nothing. He recognizes it was a shithole, and that's the end of that conversation.

@Maggie W Exactly, we're all individuals, and we all have an opportunity to respond to each situation with anger, or pain, or with a logical approach that allows us to grow. By understanding they are more than their current circumstances, like my father, no one should take these comments to heart, and just laugh at them all the same, while they strive for more.

Living area nasty, I would put in a big entertainment unit with beautifully stained wood and pin lighting, and in the center a 60" flat screen wall hanging Sony TV with Bose sound around cinema speakers at either wall ends connected to a CD and DVD cabinet units, on both sides book shelves and under cabinets for games and what not's. For seating 2 plush swivel reclining chairs separated by a table lamp a converting lifting coffee table in the middle and the other side an Ashley queen sized sofa sleeper and the floor a nicely designed room floor area rug. With some Thomas Kinkade paintings on the walls. AWESOME!

I love the work you guys do, managing to improve houses and communities with your work! A question for you, though - I know things work differently here in Australia to in the USA (like kitchen appliances - if you buy a house, there's never a fridge or microwave left there, though I've seen it in a number of USA based home shows) but I've noticed there's never any glass panelling around the showers to stop water from flooding the bathroom in many videos. Obviously, glass sheets are expensive, and a shower curtain doesn't look as appealing, but is there a reason the showers are left open?
@alexj-790
@alexj-790 2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it’s to do with clearance, and having a swing open glass door might not work if there’s a toilet or sink/vanity in the way. So often times, they’re left open. Hope that answered your question!

@Ryan-mg5ve
@Ryan-mg5ve 4 жыл бұрын
Carmen Peguero no thats not true besides the Florida part no matter where you are they can or might not have a basement it depends on the foundation type so this house is a slab so there’s no basement on a wood frame foundation it’s possible to make a basement but very hard and then they have basements supporting the house as a foundation

Still, no matter how beautiful the kitchens turn out to be, I just can't even slightly like those brass faucets! I think they're so ugly! whenever you want to test the validity of a renovation show, just watch the demo portion, if they just use sledgehammers, theyre not legit.... or they have a team of people behind them rolling their eyes ready to clean up all the smashed bits that couldve come out as complete parts...
@AustinFlipsters
@AustinFlipsters 4 жыл бұрын
Haha. That’s quite a theory! Not sure what you mean by “validity” but I can tell you that sledge hammers smashing stuff is a lot more visually interesting to show than tediously pulling staples out of plywood for example. The show is meant to be fun to watch. And yeah, smashing stuff isn’t really practical, it’s entertaining.

It’s a great job but I really don’t get the layout of the master bedroom? I feels like you pushed all the things together on on side?
