I had a hiccup with the firmware even following 808-State's recommendations in his video by uninstalling and then reinstalling the Autel Explorer app before doing the update. The update went OK, but when calibrating the IMU, I kept getting to step 5 of 6 and then it failed. Turned out "user error", my final orientation was incorrect. It can be a little confusing. Then I went outside to do a compass calibration and it froze. After restarting the drone and controller all went well. The test flight did great even in 26mph winds to boot! I always seem to have to do some gimbal tweaking every other flight, but now 4 flights later the horizon is straight as a razor. I think Dobo was ready to jump off one the Miami bay bridges over this message from his original EVO II about the front sensor calibration. Keep up the great videos!

I remember dobo saying he had that error message and then it just worked itself out and the message went away on its own.

I had mine off and on several times, flew it twice but it persisted. It was truly a pain . I did not see that one from Ken.

I really need to collaborate with a local with everything drones and cameras and editing. I have the mavic air 2 and the autel evo 2 8k. Just started flying drones this summer and learned a lot since then and caught on pretty quickly. Im to the point now where I need to colab with some locals and learn more hands on with others when possible. I did meet another hobbyist who is studying to get his 107 like me. He also has the evo2 but he has the 6k pro

I wasted a hell of a lot of time on that front calibration tool, and still not working. Now it won’t even load the tool on my Macs after Catalina update. Won’t work on my older Windows laptop. So I just fly it with that annoying warning box continually popping up and partially blocking my screen. The front obstacle works because I tested it going up to a wall. Apparently I’m not the only one getting the OA calibration error. And other people on Facebook get it to work on Windows. While another with a screaming Windows can not get it to work. AUTEL: GET THIS FIXED!

Confused. V2. 5.0 i just upgraded to v2. 5.1.1 now it's upgrading to v2. 5.0

Yeah, I don't know. I've have it off and on a bunch of times but I'm not getting any other updates for the firmware. Have you heard if there were any issues with 2.5.1.1? Maybe they pulled it?

There was a minor issue with 2.5.1.1 but they fixed it in 2.5.1.2. There are 2 ways to update. Perhaps try the method where you download from their website to your PC and transfer to an SD card, which is then inserted into the Drone. Also, someone said you have to have the latest version of the Explorer App. I noticed my Explorer App has auto updated without my involvement. It is currently at version V1.1.7.10.
