This is perfect. My Evo2 pro arrived today and I planed on doing similar test. I'm a ham operator and I planed on using it to deploy a cross band repeater to provide communications in an emergency and public events like races and marathons . It only weighs a half a pound so I think I'm good. However, I still need to do frequency interference testing before I attempt it at altitude.

Hello Garrett, my name is Athena. I was so thrilled to see your video and your engineered piece to that same Exolander Light Harness that I purchased. I am very interested and learning how to enter into the field of Search & Rescue with my drone (amongst other areas) to be able to do some good. I've been working on finding ways to modify my harness like you did, as well as a similar piece with a 1/4"-20 base for attaching other camera/audio related gear onto my drone. I was wondering if you would consider selling me that awesome piece you had milled? It sure would help me a lot? Thank you in advance for considering my request. 😊

Nice bit of fabrication right there! Reminds me of a billet jack point adapter I have for an aluminum bodied Jaguar XJ/Vanden Plas to match a floor jack to the factory lift points. This is at once strong & light, and looks the part, in that FoxFury harness. I see these over at Advexure, and I will add one to my E2P "startup kit" (Rugged Bundle +2 additional batteries, Charging Hub, Tablet Mount to hold me until V2 Smart Controllers ship in another few weeks. I am as anxious as an 11 year old on Christmas eve 😆 . As a recreational waiver pilot, I have absolutely no idea what I need this bracket for, but I know pro gear when I see it, and the problem will come along, seeking this solution! 👍

Just thought you might like to know. Our youth last weekend reversed engineered this concept and are modifying it for other tasks. So far the fit is good and tight. they re using PLA materials at present. The hole will be bigger, and probably two hangers rather than one. ( maybe GOPRO type ) We will test the weight load this weekend. We are working with various audio/loud speakers and light systems on top mounts, and drop mechanisms on bottom mounts. They will be printed in various colors and maybe materials. I did purchased one from flyhigUSA. I Intend to get a second. Took three weeks to get here. There are several types of drone mounts to 3 D print on Thingiverse. We have tried most of them. Also several out of China using various attachment concepts., different than the saddle mount concept. Much of this are projects with Texas Youth council for preparedness ( FEMA/CERT ).Thank you for the great idea. Keep up the good work. We need more drones and parts made in the USA!
@garretbryl6254 жыл бұрын
@@mecatx, that is fantastic and I love to hear that. The youth learning how to solve problems and provide solutions is our future. Please just be careful with plastic (especially PLA) on this particular component. The physics with this component having excessive flex can have some unfavorable results.
