That ability to create a target designation using just the CCIP pipper seems like a really useful feature. Wonder why that isn't a feature that is designed into more modern multi-role aircraft. Or maybe it is and it's not modeled in DCS?

Actually, Action Mode creates a designation when TDC is released (!) not when pressed. The concept being to depress and hold TDC, slew over a target and release to lock/designate. This is important, when you already designated a target with the DMT and No Action slew will skip back to your designation when stopping the slew. You now need to depress and hold(!) TDC to move the designation to, say from a tank to a Shilka. 👍🏻

Not sure why or when that unstabilised designator would be preferable though. When would this in reality be used?

With the TDC i've noticed a weird inversion going on where certian modes flip the control direction left/right and some other ones flip the control direction up/down, and the left/right seems WAY more sensitive than the up/down... Is that the one you're talking about at 4:20? Is that a bug everybody is having or is it just the lucky few? I hope it gets fixed soon!

Indeed. In DCS I often wondered why would you choose a air to ground aircraft over a multi roll one like the f18 or f16? Things like this are why. That and the DMT and FLIR the harrier has built in are very useful.

Hey Cap! If I am using the APKWS rockets with the TPOD (I.e. finding a target using the TPOD), will the new Rocket Designation function now throw off my TPOD's aim if I fire a rocket slightly offset from the TPOD's reticle? (Will the new target point created by firing a rocket mess up the TPOD's target point?) Thanks for all the amazing tutorials!

In VR I simply don't have enough buttons. Even with a extra 10button set and my full Cougar HOTAS. Even with one of those haptic gloves you still need to do way to many KB commands. Why is DCS trying to kill VR?
