Dudes and Dudette... You are outdoing your selves here. If you would have asked me one year ago, "how could Delos get any better?" I would have said, it can't. Well, I was wrong about that. This new format you have going is awesome! I have never seen anything like this ever, on any platform TV, documentary film, reality show, vlog, blog, or even books. This is pure independant media. It's groundbreaking and it's better than anything on any platform, anywhere right now. I know you are not the only ones breaking ground in this uncharted territory but you are doing it with unmatched authenticity and genuineness. What you are doing with your lives is truly unique but, so is what you are doing on KZbin. Today in class I decided to use this video in my class as we were talking about weather and climate. The students do not have a real idea how important weather can be in your life. So I decided to show this clip to the class, it was interesting to watch them as you were discussing the route options etc. For my students I think that this was the first time that they saw a connection between weather and the impact in can have on you. They were also impressed with the size of the waves and how scary it looked. Thanks for the good info, students enjoyed it and we had a good discussion afterwards.

To the crew, well done, all hands on deck doing there jobs. Ah, tis a bit of nice work your doing in navigating and charting the weather systems on your never-ending journey's, excellent. Take this as a compliment from a now 71 year old retired sea dog sailing a 64' Ketch (SV Eluthrous)throughout msny s passage in the Caribbean islands back in the 70s-80s. We didn't have all the updated digital solutions (sigh) you now have at your fingertips, good on technology and even better and safer on the entire crew and vessel. Many was the time we put to sea with fair weather on the horizon only to sail into a falling barometer and 15-20 meter crests, reef, reef and more reef along with a hard pulling sea anchor anf bare sticks a few times, could have done without that.... again, thank you, will be following you on your fantail, sail on and thank you again for the untamed spirit and pure joy you bring to the table. David, capt. SV Eluthrous (ret) not dead, just at 71 couldn't handle the Ketch any longer ,she's a lot of muscle work.

This is really impressive, guys. I just discovered you and have been going through past episodes. I fly up at 37,000 feet where we have to deal with 200 kt jetstreams but have similar queries, as turbulence is the worst where the jet meets the calmer air. You want the push but it can get really gnarly getting in and out of that jetstream. I'm so impressed that you put that much thought into where to go and when to head out. This was a really, really worthwhile episode.

Thank you for the weather planning video. How cool to show simple basic cut outs of the weather and current, explains everything so simply. Super helpful. This juggle of lows and currents sound so similar to what the Newport Bermuda racers deal with crossing the Gulf Stream and trying to figure out the best place to cross. Also the crossing to the Bahamas. . .never in a North Wind! More of this please! Cheers!

Very well done! That information is so useful. Today I was sailing in 30 knots of wind on a windsurfer, and I could only imagine how intense and exhausting that would be on a 54ft yacht in the ocean with a 1000 mile fetch!

Wow amazing how in depth one sail can be. Brady a few videos ago had a light bulb moment thinking about sailors In the old days navigating the globe with no electronic help and how gnarly that would be. Great Vid Delos. Really interesting for newbies but also very interesting to us northern hemisphere sailors. Many watching these vids don't realise how much agonising over weather forecasts and tidal charts that is an essential part of going to sea. Here in Wales we have very similar planning processes just to cross the Irish Sea to get to Ireland. Keep it up and have fun. Cheers

The name of your satellite device is called iridium is because there was supposed to be 77 satellites in orbit giving global coverage but not all were sent up. Iridium the element has the atomic number 77. With not all satellites in orbit polar regions can be "black" for no coverage. Safe sailing and I love all your videos!

People are going to be coming back to these episodes for a long time to come for education and research.
