Many of my partners' partners are friends- my partners have good taste and I think their partners kick ass. And while I usually don''t get jealous, when it comes up I let myself feel it, I handle it, and it's not a big deal. Open relationships take more work but for ME, it's a better way of having relationships. Peace.

Honesty is not speaking your mind out at all times with no filter; it’s being transparent where there is a moral obligation to do so,in the other person’s and the relationship’s interest. So it’s not “hey Karen, your shoes suck!”, but rather “hey darling, I’m going out with my friends tonight and so-and-so will be there and I’ll get wasted in moderation”...it’s all the difficult conversations, it’s not letting the other invest in you when you know you’re not reciprocating, it’s not lying on things that will change your partner’s opinion of you, and so on

Phone Home that would absolutely be lying, if im reading the situation correctly, why would you conceal your real opinions, especially when they could help your friend also understand why the other person is mad? Certainly you’d want to share that with tact and diplomacy, but it would be helpful to no one if you didnt help them create that bridge that you can see and they cant. The only problem would be if you were validating someone’s toxic point of view, then that would be destructive, but not the sharing of your opinion per se.
