AXE MURDERER OP Early/Mid Game Build - NIOH 2

So i got stuck on Shibata Katsuie. I bashed my head on him for 3 days, i changed my build twice, first i had sword build, then kunai build. Then i decided to try axe... I found this build... I made it... First try... First try after taking axe in hands for the first time ever (beside getting couple points for like 3 active skills or so, took me 20 minutes of mindlessly swinging). It was 2 years since the game came out, and im playing the remastered version, with latest patches. Im so glad they never thought of nerfing the axe... All i was doing is literally pressing 2 buttons trough out the fight, never block, almost no dodges. Just an overhead swings and Kasha summon couple times.

My only issue with certain builds is, I prefer to only use the Brute transformation. However, one of the axe builds I'm going to use at late game is locked in with a guardian spirit that uses Phantom :/ My least favorite of the transformations.

I know it's 10 months late, but unless you're min/maxing in NG+ or whatever, just use a brute GS. It's not a build breaker at all. I too enjoy timing block counters with brute, and made it through NG/NG+ with ease.

There's was an obsidian set, not sure if that's what it was called but it had increase attack and defense for axe along with Attack bonus (Stamina) A as part of the set bonus

I only use axe in nioh. Using heavy stance. It drain ki fast then I can follow up with grapple

As far as I’m concerned, there is only high stance with axe.

Wait how can you constantly switch between the moves. I can't see me being in a battle let me run away to switch moves my buff ran out. I use heaven and earth for humans and mad spinner is great for yokai. Since most come right to you to get you. Humans will most likely dodge around then attack

I don't think so, at least not yet. I went into the ps store last night to see if they had the demon weapons available to purchase separately from the deluxe edition, and there's nothing there. I have the demon armor from the preorder, but I actually quit using it pretty early because of how much it weighs. It looks sick, but just doesn't mesh well with my play style.

Wow awesome I picked up the axe at beginning but invested points into both stamina and the skill.for odochi not thinking they have 20 each with heart at 15 an I just beat the final boss in the first region. Should i reset stats tbh?

Just reset it. It only cost 10k which is quiet easy to earn

I normally hate these souls-esque games, but there's just something about this one that's got me hooked. It's really unforgiving, but so far whenever things go bad, I instantly know what I did wrong. It never really leaves me feeling like I got robbed. Which surprisingly goes a long way in lowering the controller smashing level of frustration that normally comes with the territory
