Need to count 3 capsule. (might be 100+ in each capsule for generic). Has to be the micro beads.Add them together. Get Average Times average by -% drop 5% or less and hold for 14 days or longer until stable. I know this seems like forever. Document it on paper so you know where you are at. Also helps for family to know were you are at too. When get to 20mg will need to take 1 bead out and hold til stable. Man, I hate to see you suffer or anybody else. Hey man just came across your video wishing you the best. I CT'd off 20mg paroxetine and 4mg klonopin, 7 months ago as been the worst hell on earth I've ever experienced, sleeping less than a hour in the beginning half day panic attacks intrusive thoughts buy far the worst. I just stayed off everything, and I finally seem to be improving. Hopefully, in a few weeks, I can work again 🙏. Tried all the tricks vitamins etc nothing worked except doing nothing and time. Time bro push through

Hi I was on 10mg amitripiline 40mg mirtrazipine and 150mg Venlafaxine. It took 1 year to taper from amitripilene and mirtazipine, I was only on them for 8 weeks. Then I started reducing the venlaxine I am now 5years into reducing from 150mg and am down to 40.81mg, it is a really so slow progress but can only go as fast as my brain will allow. I have been on venlafaxine for 20 years, it will take me at least 8 years more to come of this safely. What was yr original dose? and how long have u been taking it?

I’m just starting to taper off 150 mg. Been on it 10 years. I’m truly scared. I am skipping a couple of days a week. Don’t know how else to do it because it’s the capsules with all the beads

@@pkbailey4870 never skip days u will destable your central nervous system. Do u take capsules or tablets? let me know and i will tell u how too do it. There is a Dr Howitz online videos also on this subject, and he is also tapering venlafaxine. Sorry just noticed u have capsules with beads. U need to buy a gemini 20 scales from amazon,, u then need to empty the contents of 3 capsules and weigh together u then divide by 3 this gives the average content. never weigh the outer plastic capsule only the contents. once u have divided u then weigh that amount every day minus 10% or less normaly less if yr symtoms r bad, u stay at the reduced amount for 28 days, if all symtoms r gone then u proceed to take 10% from the amount that u r injesting (not the original dose) and repeat the above. let me know how u get on

The elimination half-life of venlafaxine is very short, it lives 10 hours in the body and its active metabolite lives 13 hours, it is simply almost impossible to stop it, its withdrawal is brutal. One strategy would be to switch to fluoxetine as it has a very long half-life and allows for a much more gradual taper in your system. . With fluoxetine, withdrawal symptoms are almost impossible to occur. While you reduce venlafaxine, you increase fluoxetine and withdrawal will be much more bearable. After a month you will be better and in six months you will be able to reduce fluoxetine without any problem. It's just a suggestion, don't take it the wrong way!
