First and foremost, thank goodness it is fixed (mostly). I do love my ZR1. I won't sell this one. I know I said the same thing about my last one (C4, 40th Anniversary), but this car is the last of its kind and mine is 1 in 11 with how it's configured. It will be with me for years to come. I have a question. I have a 2019 Z06 . I was told by another youtuber to keep my tire pressure at around 34 PSi to ensure that my tires wear relatively even. I KNOW the recommended PSi is 30 PSi per tire, but I wanted to know IF you do this with your ZR1 or IF you've ever heard of this practice before. ANY info that you have about this question would be helpful since tires for these cars are usually pretty expensive for just two tires let alone all 4.

@@vthomas2313 Not at all. I don't question GM considering they built the car, they are going to know the best pressure to run in the tires. I keep mine as close to 30 all the time as possible.

My 6th Grade teacher, (Mr John Castle) of McConnell Elementary school in Pontiac Michigan, had a Split Rear Window Corvette and the Corvette was a (Blue Convertible) he would take Us out for a ride, 3 to 4 Kids, and in the 60's We had a "Blast with Mr Castle!" Drive Us to get Hamburgers from (Mickey D's - McDonald's)! Also Mr Castle would drive Us to our (Toastmasters Meetings), We'd have Lunch with important people in Congress's and Michigan, Housewives of The Congressmen!

That interlude with the kids brought back an old memory. In 1969 I ordered and bought a new 427 Corvette roadster in Fathom Green (British racing green with a high metallic gold content). My 2016 Z06 is going in on Wednesday for the same. Thought i fixed it with the cataclean. But its been on and off for a few months now. This vid is prefect timing - I'm going to send it to my service manager and also get my plugs changed as a precaution .

Yup. I bet the plugs are having an issue, too. Seems to pretty semi common if you still have the stock plugs. GM even made a TSB about it.

Driver side cat and O2 sensors are bad. Cat being replaced under 8/80 emissions warranty Last time it was the passenger side cat also replaced under the 8/80

Yes. It is a cat. The drivers side one and he confirmed it was taken out by the spark plug problem.

Not really when you think about the fact that the car was dumping a lot of fuel into a cylinder that was never getting ignited so that fuel was now making its way into the cat where it was getting ignited.

Just curious why you didn’t go to somewhere with a Corvette tech? Convenience? Seems very un-HPO like to try a random dealer like that 😆. Also you should have went in and told them you need all of their fuel pumps, no diagnosis necessary.

So I did actually go to a dealership with a Corvette tech initially once he told me for sure what the issue was it didn’t really matter at that point what dealership I went to anybody can replace an O2 sensor and this one just so happens to be right beside Blackout Tinting where my car is being stored

It is all C7 Corvettes that can have that issue. There was actually a TSB from Chevrolet about it.
