Back To The Future Ride ´94 Universal Studios Florida

My mom, dad, and I were amongst the first to ride this when it was in "soft-opening" at Universal Studios Florida in 1991. I will always remember my first trip Back to the Future!

This used to be my favorite ride when I was little. The last time I rode this was around 2001. I can't believe they closed this down! Especially when there were far worse rides than this :(

I remember for the first time when I went on this ride when I was like three or four, I thought I was actually going into the real Delorean and going back and time and into the future. It was so amazing!!! I don't know why the took the ride out.

I love the classy feel of adverts from this period. It's actually believable and genuine, their park is slowly becoming a joke now.

That is so awesome!!! I wish I would have been able to ride this ride. Just from this video it gave a better sense of what the ride did. I have the 30th Anniversary DVD of the Back to the Future trilogy and the ride is on the Back to the Future part 3 disc and from watching it, it didn't do justice of what the ride was actually like. Also, at the very end of the video, people better have seen part 3 or they just saw a spoiler of how it ended...lol. I loved seeing the people in line laughing.

Yep Back to the Future set got replaced into a crappy kid theme park. The Back to the Future ride is replaced with The Simpsons ride. Jaws was replaced with Harry Potter. E.T. Ride is still standing. They took away the King Kong ride I forgot what they replaced it with though.

+Mike D I am not a fan of Harry potter and was just there on Halloween. I got to say it was impressive and the ride was way better then Jaws was. The new King Kong is opening 2016 and the way the decorations are already set up it is jaw dropping. They just closed Twister the ride and will be replaced by Jimmy Fallons new 3d ride and Disaster got closed to make way for Fast and the Furious.

I have just seen this and found out they have closed the ride. I visited US in 94 & 95. This was without a doubt the best ride of its type and blew my mind the 1st time I went on it. I am gutted that I will not be able to take the trip again. Gutted.

Yeah there was dude. You go in the elevator just before boarding the Delorean. In the elevator also was a copy of the letter used in Back To The Future 1 that Marty wrote to Doc warning him of the Lybians shooting him dead back in 1984.

cant believe it was there in 1992 and now am going in march with my kids from ireland ..heard jaws was closing for crappy potter..now ive seen back to the future is gone..arghhhhhh....both are timeless classics sure youve got to move forward but dont throw out fantastic themed classics ..my kids luvvv back to the future movies have them on dvd and bluray and jaws..now the journey from Ireland to Florida seems less attractive...bring it back.....pleeese.....ya dont mess up a good thing..

@Tonytambe what are you talking about? "Men in Black: Alien Attack" isn't an original ride at Universal. That ride opened in 2000, 10 years after the park first opened and it's still in operation at Universal Orlando.

I loved going on this ride as a kid and now I can't do it anymore. Why do they get rid of all of the good rides? King Kong got replaced with the mummy (although the mummy is awesome, I also liked King Kong), The Hanna Barbera got replaced with Jimmy Nuetron, and now this. I'm guessing either ET or Jaws is going to be next to go. :(

As it says in the title, it was in Universal studios Florida. It has been replaced by "The Simpsons Ride" in 2008.
