Haven’t used them a lot mate but they have done the job so far

Socks are so important, couple of pairs top of the range socks are worth their weight in gold, if your feet are warm so is the rest of you.

The Dexshell waterproof socks are well worth a look too

Any advice on gaitors Steve? I’m looking at a set of kuiu yukons at the moment
@BoltActionProductions5 жыл бұрын
I have never been a massive fan of gaiters and until recently haven't found a pair I really liked. I really only use them for keeping stuff out of my boots. I hate grass seeds and burrs in my socks. Tried a few and I like the flexibility of the KUIU and this is what I currently use if the need arises. If you are after snake protection these probably aren't your best choice but then again what is. In saying this most of our venomous snakes have short fangs and a good tough pant can be just as good IMO. Snakes really aren't as big an issue as is made out and just being observant of your surroundings is better practice.

Bolt-Action Productions cheers mate Not phased by snakes, they’re normally on the way out by the time I see em. Just keen to keep bindi and seeds and crap out of my laces and seams etc. I’ll give the kuiu a crack. They aren’t to badly priced and you’re right, flexible. Cheers again and thanks for the decent content!!!!!!!

I think you will be happy with that choice.

yep - I noticed the blaze orange when you published the hunting video last week - excellent idea - thanks for the videos - very helpful

Yes it is surprisingly visible from a long distance. I could see my tent from about 5k's away. Thought it was a big orange beanie. LOL

Great video mate, just for your info, I have those boots and my soles are pealing off. Im pissed off because they are so comfortable and water proof. Oh well
@BoltActionProductions7 жыл бұрын
I have had no issues as yet mate and like you said they are very comfortable. Many boot manufacturers blame sole de-lamination against drying your boots near a fire. I personally see it as finding any excuse. We did have a bad run with Stoney Creek boots loosing the heal on their boots.

really good info here, socks and boots are a huge deal for me my feet are rooted, great vid mate

Getting the right socks to suit your feet and boots is so important. Often not as easy as many think especially when you are carrying heavy loads and or climbing steep terrain

Yep the Hunters Element is a step up from Ridgeline but I still use plenty of their gear as well. Great entry level products
