Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I remember Ultimate Flash Sonic. That was literally my first ever sonic game (No joke, it truly was) back in 2005 or so. I was at my mom's house looking for games to play as I would often go to the Disney website to play flash games but since I saw sonic X on TV I wanted to play a Sonic X game. Then I found that flash game and I found it to be a lot of fun. (well, for a seven year old kid at least.) I think 4KIDSTV also had some Sonic X flash games but they were pretty awful if I remember. One was a Shadow Vs Sonic game with bad graphics where they looked like chibi people and it controlled kinda loosely.

SeafoamGaming Ultimate Flash Sonic is pretty fun, being based off of the Sonic Advance games... But it's pretty short as there's only two worlds and the ice world does have some bullhonky in it... It's kinda sad that it's not as good as I remember it...

Sonic Ultimate Flash was so popular amongst the other kids in my high school because it was one of the quality flash games we could actually work on the computers after we switched to iMacs and the school blocked KZbin and NewGrounds. As a big Sonic fan myself, it's a decent fan game, and the unlockables help extend gameplay for an hour or so. Good time waster.

9:29 I played that one as a kid. After the Knuckles battle you fight a robot as Ryu; all you really have to do is get close enough and spam the attack button. There are more games of this series; one where you pick between Sonic, Ryu and Marco from Metal Slug; one where you play as Knuckles and fight a boss as Shadow; and one where you mainly play as Shadow that involves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Believe it or not, that Ultimate Sonic Flash Game is one of the most popular and well-received Sonic Flash games. Sure, the enemy placement is pretty poor at times and there are only two levels, but it is pretty good. And you can play as multiple characters including Cream, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow. Though the game itself never changes.

Goodness Gracious, I remember those sonic RPGS. I had managed to repress those memories. I played them when I was around 6, I remember playing one entry in the series and not knowing what in the world was going on. I then found the series (The website I played them on had a thing where if a game was in a series, at the bottom of the page it would have all the entries in the series) I played through them (Skipped a few cause they were very hard) And they never seemed to have an actual storyline. I got to I think 13? It had Tails going somewhere and fighting some robot but like you did, I couldn't even knock him down to half health no matter what I did. I tried a couple times and no matter what I couldn't get him. I skipped it and went to the next level, the title was episode 14. However, it started just like to previous one. Same exact things. I thought it was just mislabeled. So I skipped it and went to 15. And guess what, no seriously, take a wild guess what it was. IT WAS THE EXACT SAME THING AS LAST TIME. Because of this I stopped playing those things for good. I had managed to repress the memories until now. I still have no clue what the heck that thing was.

So recently Firefox implemented the "Click to Activate" Flash feature, whereas Flash elements only run if clicked, and this change leading toward the eventual disabling of Flash entirely by default. Considering this among the actions already taken by other browsers, and that with this Flash content on the internet will begin to become sparse, do you think you'll plan to cram in more episodes in the next year or two before it's too late? ... And I also want to mention it saddens me Flash is going to be difficult to work with, and more importantly likely more difficult to find to run personally. While I know it contributed significantly to bad, annoying, bulky, and dangerous content, you can't deny Flash's legacy of sporadic amazing works that brought us joy over the years. I do hope there are people keeping extremely detailed archives of more complex Flash works. For instance, I simply can't find a good build of BioShock Infinite: Industrial Revolution. It was a Flash game provided to those who preordered the game's namesake in order to unlock extra game perks, as it tied to an account. I have the actual Flash file, but it called up maps from the internet which I was too dumb to think to grab. Saddest part is it has all the debug code, so if I had them I could totally rig it to work.

Warlords Sonic reminds me of the Henry Stickman series. It's basically a visual novel with simplistic yet amusing animations; you need to make progress by choosing what object to use. Often, these misadventures have Henry trying to either escape from a prison or steal a jewel. You do have multiple ways of starting your journey off, but after that, there's no telling which object is the right one so it's a 1 in 4 chance you'll actually get it right while the other 3 causes you to die and have to redo the scene. Also, there are some timed decisions which also kill you if you don't make a choice. In fact, the fun of Henry Stickman is to see the absurd ways you can fail. The animations, despite being stickmen, are actually pretty well done and has a great sense of humor, and it gets pretty epic when you get to Stealing the Diamond. It kinda makes me wonder if Warlords was trying to emulate that experience.

I played that first game. I managed to play as shadow without unlocking shadow. Apparently you only unlock the text of Shadow. When I unlocked "Shadow" I face palmed.

Final Fantasy Sonic X Episode 5 was kind of lame the whole episode consisted of that one boss battle. Episode 6 though is actually much better and has voice acting. Unfortunately it's also the last known episode in the series since the developer wanted to switch away from pixel art and try to create their own original assets and hasn't released a new episode since.

To be honest I've actually played a decent amount of these. Looking back now most of them don't hold up except the later Final Fantasy X Sonic games and Ultimate Flash Sonic but they were fun at the time. I would play them a lot in primary school whenever I got the chance and since I didn't have a computer At the time they were entertaining in a kinda It's better than nothing kinda way, and I'm still kind of impressed at the work some people put into these flash games, It's just a shame the best flash can do is just simply really not that stellar. Even after getting a computer I used to play them a lot for a laugh, so many memories. I used to think Ultimate Flash Sonic's sprites were actually created by the dev because I'd never played Sonic Advance before. And it wasn't mentioned in this video but I kid you not I remember one game where you go through a Mario level as Sonic, fight Mario, and get back to Sonic world when suddenly, because I guess the dev must have confused Tails for a girl, Sonic goes into Tails house and the dialogue implies they go have sex. Seriously, that's an actual thing I played XD P.S Oh and gillythekid I don't know if you've heard of it but for a place to go for really cringeworthy or just strange flash games is the "Scratch" website. It's basically an engine for people to make and program their own low tier sprite based flash games. Some people upload their creations online and the results are... Well, they're something all right.

He's covered some Scratch games in previous flash game videos :P he also apparently got comments complaining about his treatment of the Scratch games. I actually got my start with programming on Scratch (that is, using it partially inspired me to get into programming) and have seen that it can actually make good things with effort and good programming trickery. However, as you said, a lot of things on there are made with either little effort or with little understanding of game designing and/or programming, which can be understandable when a lot of them are made by kids but that doesn't change the fact that the games can be terrible to play :P
