Its all about the centre of gravity. He has carefully calculated it so that the toothpick stands still on the other toothpick. It is balancing so well that even a feather will cause the system to fall. So simple, yet amazing. Btw i think im in the 1% of people in this comment section not commenting about the time of release of his next video or how early i was... But i just did 😝

my "explanation" of the fork balance: the fork pendulum acts as a counterweight for a matchstick to be stable enough to stay without falling, thus, the center of mass is diverted from the cork by a large factor.
