The "better hotbar 2" mod requires you to move 4 of the red separators all the way to the left until you see the 5th appear at the end. The recast-able will go between the 4th and 5th bars. You're welcomed, lol when I noticed I couldn't recast I went to Nexusmods in hope to contact the creator and in the mod description there is a short clip showing you what you have to do. You'll have to do it on every character only once, it resets on summons but as far I know summons don't have recast-ables.

Ahhhh that’s good to know! Thanks for sharing that. Nice that you only have it set it up once per character My favorite mod for the UI is immersive UI which hides it unless you mouse over it, but it’s not updated for patch 7 yet unfortunately

@@JasonDunna just fyi, assuming youre using the latest version of better hotbar 2, it has an autohide function built in. On the lower right hand side of the hotbar there is an eye icon that toggles auto hide on and off. Same goes for Caites Better Map and Dynamic Sidebar mods too

Try a mod called ''mod uninstaller.'' This mod has an MCM menu that let's you choose a mod you want to uninstall from a drop-down menu. While the game is running you open mod uninstaller, choose the mod you want to remove, uninstall it, and you'll get a message saying it was successfully uninstalled. Then you quit the game, go back to your mod manager and remove the mod and delete it. So far this has kept my game safe

the better hotbar can still use delayed actions, you sadly just have to pull all the action bars all the way to the left until a new bar will apear that u need to pull all into the original hotbar. And that will have the actions for monk bonus unarmed atk, witchbolt etc etc, it is annoying having to do it every time tho. Just wanted to say it for people wondering how to fix that

Hey thanks for that! It’s so frustrating that I might go without for the time being. I’m waiting for the immersive UI mod to come back, it hides everything unless you mouse over it which is pretty intuitive

One thing I just discovered is that when you add a new mod, mid play through, you'll see the name of a pre-existing mod listed with the attribute "disable mod" and it'll not have its checkbox marked. If you mark the checkbox, the "disable mode" warning goes away. This does the exact opposite of what I thought it did. It has no effect on the pre-existing mod, and leaving the checkbox unmarked actually enables the new mod. So just leave the checkbox unmarked and ignore the warnings. I have NO IDEA why it lists a pre-existing mod, probably just a bug.

Better Hotbar 2 does not prevent you from reapplying conditions, it just makes it rather difficult. You have to drag all of the dividers all the way to the left and then mouseover the space all the way to the right to get an additional divider to appear, then drag it over enough to see the reactions and then move the other dividers back.

This would be very helpful. Do you still need the mod fixer if using Nexus mods via BG3MM alongside in-game mod manager? Same question for Script extender. Also, can you still load older saves which had mods in during the save if you've removed those mods?

I hope they will fix the mod menu because if you use another language (not English) there are no category showing on the left side. So it is practically impossible to browse alla the available mods unless you search the web for their exact name and then put it in the top search bar.

I decided to try a handful of mods. I have never used mods before and I'm not terribly tech savvy. I downloaded a few and every single one of them popped up with "unresolved mod issues". I downloaded diamond dice, faerun colors, carry weight extra, dreads for Wyll, adjustable party limit and containers extended. I do not want to screw up my game so I just uninstalled them again. I thought this would be easy . 😒

I get that pop up and it hasn’t caused me any issues so far. You should be fine with those mods because I have all of them plus like 50 more hahaha. The container extended doesn’t work though

The other night I wanted to try making a Draconic Cultivator so I added all the mods I saw regarding the Dragonborn. As soon as I tried to start a new game, the game crashed and brought up the window to tell Larian what happened. Has anyone had issues with the Dragonborn or Draconic Cultivator mods?

I’ve had a number of comments about that mod, seems like it’s bugged for some people. Might be worth uninstalling it, it’s not that great of a mod

I noticed that you have cloud save. The Steam cloud save always tries to update your save, so may well re-install mods. Don't use cloud saves and there should be less issues. Just keep your own save, copy savegame to another directory on your own PC.

Filters do not show up for people playing BR version of the game, it is broken to, so, not even this can be used to see all mods.

I have adjusted my mods where it’s not a lot that I have installed, but my game keeps freezing crashing or it has this weird glitch, where my characters are naked or the texture of some things will be green or purple so I don’t know what to do if if I should just wait for the next update

Honestly very impressed with baldur's gate 3 so far, at launch there are some issues but I'm pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use. The fact you don't have to worry about mod load order with any of the built in mods is really nice too.

I've modded both extensively, and I'd say overwhelmingly that BG3 is easier to mod. There just seems to be far less compatibility issues with mods, and you don't have to stress over your load order, and other issues nearly as much. Modding Skyrim is extremely finicky, at least in my experience. I don't know if I'll ever mod that game again.

Howdy all 🤘 I'm having an issue when I get to level 3, and it happens if I level up Shadowheart or Astarion (sometimes one but not the other). The game will start to stutter and then crash. HELP! Using a feat every level, Nightmare mode, many more monsters, unlocking all characters (so I can play with all of them at the same time), and 30 others.

I downloaded additional hairstyles and colors along with face replacements. But the icons are blank. I have no preview for them. Is there a way to fix this? I have them set below the requirement indicated in load order as well. Also a scroll mod I have doesn’t show icons for the scrolls. It’s rather annoying. lol Any suggestions?

@@JasonDunna No, All of my mods are downloaded from the game mod manager. I have tried outside mods but it always locks me out of game play after it saves and I try to log in the next day! I have the Improved UI loaded First as most of the custom mods require it for facial and hair customizations. Then I load all of my character creation mods ( Vanilla CC Colours for all Sections/Lydia's Heads-Serafina/almost all of P4 mods or character creation/ Additional Eye Colors/Subtle Nature Eyes/ More Hair Options/ Kay's Hair Ext/P4 bangs/Medusaes_Muses. The scroll mod that doesn't show the icons is called Secret Scrolls. It randomly places additional scrolls around the game in loot containers to use instead of having to purchase them.

I was using the Get 10x Xp for s faster start. But now I cant turn it off for any reason. I have deleted the mod in both MM and ingame mod menu. I even tried the hotfix that the author put out. Nothing works :(

Good tips - you know you make good content when I allow even 3-minutes ads of these stupid browser games to play through ;-) I also have separate savefiles and test the mods 2-3 at once. Good practice. A bit annoying is that mods that you disable while loading saves, get disabled in the mod main menu. On my 16:10 screen the 16:9 Better Hotbar 2 mod hid the combat log button when using also the Combat log 2, disabled the latter and it works well even at different screen ratio. Important as stated by the author (and works if done): When you first load the Hotbar 2 you need to move all red shutters fully to the left before repositioning (initiating) or you won't see the container where all the extra stuff like metamagic buttons and hunters mark is shown. This may fix your hunters mark reapplying issue, mine works. Has to be done for every char. I didn't know and disabled the mod first, then I read the details and it works. The mod that lets you equip a different weapon with a new equip action crashes my game when opening Withers respeccing window, had to disable it. The Equip Weapon as Bonus Action from frozensoil works well - and it's a great one, finally, you can swap your haste-bow to the regular one without losing an action. Highly recommend. Did you find Scratch's mod in the meantime? ;-)

Hey I appreciate that! Glad you enjoy, and always trying to improve. Smart to always have multiple saves just incase something messes up, because I have had many issues so far hahaha. Dang thats rough it hid stuff on your screen, aspect ratios can be a pain and thats why ill never get an ultrawide monitor, too much risk with UI. thanks for that tip about the better hotbar 2 having to be dragged across, I had multiple comments about it on other videos.. that's sweet to be able to hot swap the haste bow! I can't find the scratch mod for whatever reason but I will boot the game right now and look again because scratch is goodest boy

@@JasonDunna Glad you finally found it. Yes, Scratch levels up. At level 8 he's level 8, AC of 17 and whopping 52 hitpoints. Note: Just found out that the mod Find familiar Whenever from emapex interferes with Scratch's mod, it caps Scratch at level 2 with 14 hit points. You need to disable that mod. This mod also tends to crash the game by loading a save.

@@JasonDunna I got myself a 1680x1050 16:10 screen years ago for that precious extra height you get compared to a standard 16:9. Try out that hotbar thing, my hunters mark reapply works correctly. Yep, that weapon swap mod is very handy, it's annoying to lose an action for a simple weapon swap.

@@JasonDunna A remark on Hunter's Mark: I recommend the Hunter's Mark Improvement mod from nezenth. It removes concentration, so you can use haste together (or snare spell), and it doesn't break stealth when you apply it, which is annoying in vanilla. Already tested, works fine.

Hmmm I had issues with that mod as well so I’m waiting for a better one to come out. There’s a couple on the mod manager I think so maybe try the other one out and see if that fixes it. Or it could be another mod impacting that, this is at level 12 right?

That’s totally fair, I know it’s a mod that everyone wants so I’m hopeful more come along with less bugs. There was a mod on previous patches that gave new benefits to classes at higher levels than 12 which was pretty cool. Maybe someone will adapt that for the mod manager too

Nevermind. It's a keyboard vs controller compatibility issue. You have to be using a keyboard to override the compatibility warnings but can swap back afterwards.

Since patch 7 came out i haven't been able to play the game at all that bitching third party mod thing doesn't let me before the patch 7 i even had some mods duplicate no problem it worked perfectly now even the menu is bitching using shadow clone jutsu i have installed the game multiple times nothing, delete all save files still the same problem don't know about y'all but this last update has been a pain in the behind for me

@@JasonDunna nothing to complicate brother one clothes mod new customize faces hairs,nails,wings, sword eye mod and eyes of the beholder all this requires unique tav mod to use but regardless is like the game doesn't want me to use any outside mod at all. Once you eliminate all outside mods it works, everything is updated mod manager and script extender but is meaningless for now

@@JasonDunna to put it on better perspective you launch the game and everything is good when you put new game to select the difficulty every is good except you select any difficulty and the menu difficulty still appears in front of you if you select custom difficulty obviously when is loading for the character origin selection/custom once it reaches the 100% load it goes back to The main menu.

I’ve also been having strange issues, mods will seemingly become a problem at random even when they’ve been updated for patch 7. Community library was fine last night, now it says it’s causing problems but nothings been changed. I’m upset that I had a perfectly nice set up with mods via vortex pre patch 7 that was nuked for a lesser in-game version of that. I like that they’re trying to get mods for console players but I don’t like how PC players are kind of getting the short stick here, especially since modding with vortex isn’t very hard anyway. Reverting back to what they call patch 6 in “betas” on steam caused more problems than patch 7 did since modders were pretty quick to start updating for patch 7. Game runs slow af now too even when I had mods uninstalled but maybe mods are leaving crap behind somewhere since the update or something. Also when there is a major mod problem it brings up a blank text box to type in whenever I click on “quit game” or other menu buttons, which is such a strange bug to consistently have whenever a broken mod is enabled.

when you mahe your wideo you tell, serch only dice mods, or only haracter mod. but in mu case i have only most download / most rated and like that option and 44 sites of mods and only 10 i can look cos the bug in mods manager

Does anyone know a good premade ai difficulty increase mod that still works in patch 7? I used to use lethal AI but that one dosnt work any more.

There’s ones that scale up the HP but nothing for more difficult AI hey for patch 7. I’m on the lookout though!

The author of the enlarged party mod had announced a difficulty mod for Tactician that lets you manage the difficulty plus has an auto-enhancing feature that adapts the difficulty to the size of the party. I'm waiting for that one, should come in a week or two. In the meantime, I've installed the hitpoints 100% one. Not tested through yet, though. There is a increase 50% one from a different author who states that it may only work on a new game. Edit: Pixellbytes, the author of the Adjustable Party Limits mod has a screenshot in the images with a note about his "Tactician Enhanced" difficulty mod with details. Comes early/mid Sep. Sounds good.

Just tested the Enemy Health Boost 100% mod from modiouser and it works well mid-game on a savefile. It scales up all NPC. The guards at Moonrise Towers have now 116 hitpoints instead of 75 at Tactician, as an example. Combat works, too, with the upscaled health. Tested with the Adjustable Party mod and a party of 7. As soon as I've prepared all my 7 main chars, I'll test the balancing with that NPC health boost.

Does anybody have an idea why I do not have an extra panel popping up through which I can select more filters to search through the mods? I only have the normal search bar and can select most downloaded mods, etc.

Yeah but at the middle to the end of October I'm not fussing about Larian it isn't their fault sony blows pigeon ass. Once I make the space and have the money ill move over to pc gaming and just pack my ps5 up.
