My mom had an encounter with Metod Trobec when she was 17. She lived in a neighbouring valley to where he resided. She often would opt for hitchhiking instead of waiting for the bus. She was picked up by him and drove with his car a very short distance, about five minutes, when he told her to wait in the car and said that he needed to pick something up. While she was alone she had a very strange feeling and decided to leave the car and walk home, which by car is 20 minutes, but on foot it takes about 4 hours because of the terrain. Then eventually, my mom saw him again when she went with family to a gathering in one of the local restaurants. She pointed him out to my grandfather and told him she hitched a ride from him and he told her to never get into any contact with him again, that some women have gone missing in his proximity. Even back then when nothing was necessarily proven, people were very weary of him. My mom never again hitchhiked in her life, and she honestly instilled big fear of it in me too. It’s just wild to think that my mom could have been a victim of one of his murders. This story quite literally made me decide to never hitchhike anywhere in my life.
@samaraisntАй бұрын
you act like it’s a very unorthodox stance to not want to hitchhike as if it’s like never having candy lol. It doesn’t take a serial killer, just common sense! 😆 I’m glad your mom is safe tho. My old teacher got a ride from Ted Bundy but jumped out of his car…
@catthebirdАй бұрын
@ to be fair, when I was a kid it was something everyone did to get out of town, there just weren’t enough busses so if you wanted to be somewhere you either asked someone to drive you or hitchhiked. My older sister(we’re 15 years apart) quite literally hitchhiked to her college on a daily basis, much to moms disliking. So I guess in my memory it’s something most people used to do, that being said I don’t know a single person my age who had ever hitchhiked
@SoundBlasterAWE64GoldАй бұрын
There's exactly one (1) guy left in a nearby village that still hitchhikes. He'll just kind of embark on a 2+ hour walk to town and some local acquaintance ought to pick him up eventually, cause they all know each other and which cars they drive and what not.

Trobec was lucky with his appeal as it delayed the process until Yugoslavia outlawed the death penalty, so it was changed to 20 years in prison. Every time he was close to finishing his prison sentence, he was moved from solitary confinement to general confinement, as he couldn't help himself not to attack other people, so they could prosecute him for another assault/attempted murder and keep him inside through new prison sentence.

"Love problems" is a wild way to refer to abuse.
@Zechariah_Mathieson1871Ай бұрын
I think he took the idea of it being a "Love potion" more literally kind of like Viagra or those "Pheromone things". Although I could definitely see it being used by abused wives to get out of the abusive relationship. That could also explain why she was able to keep the business going for as long as she did without anyone reporting her or even peoplediscussing how the people who drank it all kept dying a couple days after. If they didn't know it was poison I don't think it's take much gossip and connecting the dots to figure out.
@Zechariah_Mathieson1871Ай бұрын
It would also explain why the woman who bought it never drank it themselves

Either that or they were women attempting to get money from their husbands. Stay with me here, but it’s always possible that there are women who, I don’t know, are also greedy or simply don’t care for their husbands or even love them. I mean we see this all the time today, a lot of women get married to men they think are beneath them or have no real love for them, it’s just a way to achieve stability and avoid loneliness. But they’ll be real quick to say there was abuse if anything goes awry, I’ve seen that a million times, it’s quite common, they call that “damage control”. And it’s also always possible that these women were clueless themselves or assumed it was some disease, since this poison worked slowly. Usually, “love potions” or “vitality” elixirs are known to essentially be the equivalent of an ancient viagra, so of course it’s for the men to drink, women have no use for taking viagra, since it’s meant to operate with on a man. Therefore, if the women did knowingly want to poison their husbands, I have a feeling it would be more so out of contempt than anything else. Not being able to perform with a woman destroys her self-confidence, she’ll just assume it’s because you’re either not attracted to her (so she’ll think she’s unattractive in general), that you’re messing around with another woman and therefore, you can’t perform because you already have or that you’re more a… team player, if ya catch my drift. I’m not sure why everyone defaults to abuse as if the past was really THAT different than the now. Hell, I suppose even people today assume all sorts of things, usually at expense of a man. Not being able to see this side of things is shortsighted though, it’s actually been quite destructive throughout history. This idea that women are by default, a victim, this has always served to aid them in masterful plans of their own. Women all are typically born with an innate quality for understanding the human psyche and its emotional capacity, meaning they also understand how to shape that to their will, knowingly or unknowingly. To them they don’t even think of it as anything abnormal, but men aren’t usually attuned to this nature. Men typically have less understanding for the human psyche and its emotional depths, let alone how to bend those to their will. Typically, when you meet a man with the understanding of such topics, he has a more feminine countenance and tendencies.

Shit, that Hungarian killer's story sounded way too familiar. There's an unsettlingly similar thing going on now, mainly in Budapest. So there's this 18+ website called Motherless. It's no random p*rn site, but sth way scarier. Men take photos of women in the street (yes, total strangers doing normal everyday stuff), and you can basically write what you want the uploader to do to the girl. The guy who offers the most money for it wins the licit. Yes, he often actually does it. The saddest thing about it is that the police can't really do anything about it (not that they ever took cases of assaulted women seriously.... fuck them), since the website is operated from outside the country. If I remember correctly, Czechia. No matter how many people are reporting it or how big of a scandal our influencers make of it (bless them, finally doing sth cool), nothing is likely to happen. When will our politicians stand up for women's rights? Isn't actual lives in danger enough? Oh, wait. They're busy hating the gays and immigrants.

The girl would wake up in a bathtub filled with ice (so it will heal faster) and a note with the words "be happy that we didn’t k!ll you, your kidneys are going to donation" and then a list of instructions of what she should do and what she could eat and stuff. Please mention Srđan Mlađan a.k.a "Trostruki ubojica" or in English "Trinity killer" is a Croatian serial killer that killed 3 innocent women whom he barely met them or had any connection with them. He is alive to this day, he's 38 and he'll be released in 2027.

In Europe, specialy in Balkans, we dont have stuff like "serial killers" or "crime culture" if someone start talking around (seriously) about murder, fantasyzing about killing etc. We put the trash into the asylym, and forget about the bs. We dont have "serial killer" as "occupation" at Balkans.
