Good workmanship. Thought to be a silent video but finally heard only one word in the video.

Thank you for your attention to detail! First, I uploaded a video that introduces how to make a rod, and this video is a digest version of them, and only one part of the video has been voiced.
Beautiful bamboo fly rod, it would be an honor to fish with such a fine piece of art. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent work a TRUE MASTER. I just have 1 negative input and it’s not about the work itself. But about the end of the video showing a fish gasping for dear life . From a Cook Islander

Thank you for watching! Regarding the fish, I try to release them as quickly as possible so as not to damage them as much as possible, but I apologize if I have offended you.

Such a beautiful fishing rod. I would be too afraid to use it and break after seeing such craftsmanship and work put into it. Subscribing to your channel. Thanks for such an amazing video

Thank you for watching and subscribing to my channel! It's a fishing rod that takes a lot of time and effort to make, so I'm very impressed when I catch a fish with it.

@@yuuhiko always a good time when catching fish. My first rod when I was a kid was a simple Cane pole we would cut and dry out with line tied to it. But it got the job done all the same. Much love from Kentucky USA
Thank you for watching! I don't do workshops, I introduce detailed methods of making rods on youtube.

We produce bamboo rods here in Brazil, our production system is much simpler. But it's beautiful to see the different ways to manufacture fishing rods around the world! hugs from Brazil!

Thank you for watching. If I want to mass-produce bamboo rods, the production system should be simple. I would also like to see the production system in Brazil!
Beautiful! Thanks for the video. Very impressive quality. One question, how long had the bamboo dried before using it?
@yuuhiko Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! As for the bamboo, I think some shops sell dried ones, but I used bamboo that was about 5 years old when I bought it. However, if there is no bamboo stock, I sometimes buy and use it immediately.

@@yuuhiko Thank you. I thought it looked very well seasoned.
What type of glue are you using to glue the milled strips together ? Also what is the varnish used?
@yuuhiko Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. The bamboo glueing process uses a water-based emulsion adhesive with the trade name "TGX". Similar results are obtained with urea-based adhesives. Regarding varnishing I use Japanese "synthetic lacquer" for the undercoat, but the ingredient seems to be mostly "cashew". I use System Three's "Marine Spar Varnish" for the top coat. I hope my video is helpful for you!

I am glad that you contacted me. I am not selling rods or blanks at this stage, but I explain in detail how to make them in videos. I would like to consider selling blanks as an option for many people to easily start making rods, but it seems that I will need a little more preparation time.
