Yeah the issue wasn't the validity of the statement. It would be less jarring coming out of the mouth of an adult. But a 6 year old shouldn't be having such profound thoughts.

@nicoleowens2318 7 ай бұрын
@@PrinceJoshTheGreatyou'd be surprised. I used to work in a preschool and the things those kids said were really shocking, both good and bad. Naptimes also did have a weird effect on kids, you could tell who had problems at home by the kid's sleeping patterns. There was one kid who clearly came from a rough home and would not only never sleep, he wouldn't let other kids sleep and would get eerily angry, we often had to remove him to let the other kids sleep because he would just get up and forcefully wake them up. He eventually got kicked out for hitting another kid in the face with a brick. He said some really scary stuff with a totally deadpan look on his face that would give you chills. I still wonder about him, 15 years or so later, I can't imagine he had an easy life. His mom definitely had issues and always seemed distracted, on the phone, would drag him by his arm without paying attention to him, he often had wrinkled, dirty clothes. Other kids knocked right out with smiles on their faces every day. You can tell what kids are prone to anxiety, deep thought, superficiality, etc., their personalities are there. He could have made this up, sure, but after the things I've seen and heard it wouldn't surprise me if it were real.

@alicemakarevich6762 in a typical neighborhood you would call the police. I worked at a grocery store too, the police were called a few times and they were always there pretty quick. But I imagine it's much different when it's an everyday thing. You're not going to call the cops every day to come usher the weirdos out of your store. Especially if you have hired "security" on site. We also had hired security from a third party at our store, and they were laughably incompetent, but grossly underpaid so I never blamed them too much. I'm wondering if he worked at the same store. Menards is huge in Chicago too. But most stores operate basically the same way so probs not

Hi, I don't know your situation, but I hope this helps: There's a behavioral psychologist on KZbin named Patrick Teahan. His videos are hard to watch and the work is hard. To be honest, I can only do it once a month. But MAN, is he effective! I'm slowly healing, and being my own parent. There's also a neuroscientist who has a channel called Therapy in a nutshell. Those 2, comedy and kindness are very powerful. So glad we're not children anymore. I wish you well.

Ran away at 17 and even living in a boarding house and working at a pizzeria for $1 an hour was better because I was in control of my own life. I worry about people who wish they could return to childhood, the more I get my life in order, the better it gets, I love that. ❤

I worked in a grocery store just like that! They were open 24 hours and could not keep anybody on the weekend night shift. Turns out we had a guy who would always come in and flash people at night. It got so bad that the store offered a sweet deal for someone to work that shift. I was paying for college and took the job. The first weekend, no incident. The second weekend, I got to almost the end of my shift when I saw a man in a trench coat walk the store. In some places, this isn't a big deal, but in Georgia in late spring, it's a red flag. I don't freak out or anything, but I do let the stock manager know, in case something happens. The guy comes and gets in my line like he is going to buy something but he doesn't have anything with him. Finally, it's his turn. He gets up there whips open his coat and is waiting for a reaction. I looked him up and down and said, "With all the fuss people have been making, I thought it would be bigger..." and then asked if he was going to buy anything. Next thing I know, I hear the stock guys start cracking up because all four of them are now behind my register and have heard what I said to the guy. As far as I know, he never came back to the store again.

Okay I can help you out with the pigeon thing... Yes he was talking to the pigeons. And his hustle is flying those pigeons... If you grew up in the 80s and 90s in low income neighborhoods you would know about the pigeon man... He's signaling certain people... THE PIGEON MAN IS THE LOOKOUT. If pigeon man starts clapping at the pigeons and they start doing somersaults in the air it means "Narcs". And yes you can train pigeons and crows for that matter to s*** on people 😅 And crows are worse because they remember you and they will keep on 💩 on you... Seagulls also... Don't screw with the pigeon man. He's actually hooked up with some really sheisty people. That being said I didn't know pigeon men still existed... I thought they went out with the pager and the cell phone. They were more of a thing back when phones had cords ... Even as white people knew the pigeon man was certain gangs look outs

he’s clever and hilarious of course, but I love his naturally androgynous look. It’s interesting and beautiful!

Totally brought back memories of "nap time" I didnt know what that was at first and totally recall that was the most scariest time of the day. You never knew what the other kids might do

That incident sounds like it may have happened on the West side of Chicago. That level of crazy is rare on the South Side. We get some crazy, but nothing like that.

I grew up in Hyde Park - we definitely had some crazies! Like the man who tied a dirty handkerchief into his belt loop and held it out like a dainty lady while singing “I’m a pretty pretty girl” 🎵🎶 - But then he would spit on us kids soooo… ion know… 😅😅😅
