Marine Armorer here. I will do my best to fix all firearms and ordnance in COD to make them serviceable. I served back in 2002-2006. Drones weren’t a thing as they are now. I’d think Recon drones and ordinance drones would be a top priority. God bless you. Deus Vult! 🙏🏻🙏🏻☦️

Don’t forget to rig up a remote controlled car drone. Seems people glossed over them. But perfect to make it into certain areas(buildings). These will be coming and overhead drones will be over watch for them.

Ty so many people ignore that this isn't Fallout. Treat all random caches as booby trapped, especially food. Easier to honeypot some "dirty" rations than engage directly.

@Vacerous yup. The worst part about those trapped mags, is it isn't set for 1 round, it's set like 7 rounds expended from the mag, then it blows up. And a small explosive that close to your face is still a game ender for you.

Absolutely not. Maybe a tiny minority. But everything should be treated as such. Those ukrainian guys losing those trenches dont have the training, or will when retreating to save their lives are doing that.

@ I believe you can more or less get a 416 in the MCX or caracal now. I suppose you can get a semiautomatic belt fed SAW for $10k but that’s not really the same function. The plan as it was relayed to me when I was young was to get the M60 to the front and firing as fast as possible after contact. 🙂

In order the answer is ; better night vision, anti-armor, machine guns, explosives, vehicles. Any ammo you can fill the extra space with is optimal too.

During my time in service USMC 1980s, we were trained for the last war, ( Vietnam) which was and I"am sure the case today, to be very careful about picking up anything on a battlefield, it may be wired to something really wicked. But, yeah, every platoon had that scrounger, he always got passed the boobytrap. Just be sure whatever it is you find is not wired to some grenade or other kind of IED.

Medical. If you play super realistic in CoD, you gotten remember you don't autoheal. Food and water/water purification. You Tarkov and Day Z players should know how bad it gets when you're low on these things. Keep those supplies up. Batteries, generators, and fuel. All your awesome power ups always have a timer on how long their batteries last, keep those streaks up with enough power/batteries.

Well. I’ll state the obvious and not so obvious. Take your inspiration from the movies and past conflicts. What did the wolverines take from the Russians? What was a lethal item during southeast and southwest Asia conflicts (booby traps, a grenade under a c rat can, or artillery round up a dead donkeys rear set to blow). If anyone thinks that it’s going to be call of duty if something gnarly kicks off, it won’t, either initially, or late stage. The French resistance, Vietcong, hadj, those are the recce, guerrilla tactics everyone is going to have to take until the upper hand is achieved. Movies like civil war shows a bunch of folks geared up, but those are more local warlord types. So, explosives, ammo, weapons (individual and crew served) radios (MAYBE, everyone has crypto, unless you can load keys, probably not going to happen), nvg (if they use regular batteries). Non lethal, probably rations and first aid to the list.

I agree if you come across random stuff I would also advise to not pick up whatever it is, but context is key. For example, if you survive a fire fight and you grab equipment off of someone who still has warm blood in them I would say 9/10 that their mags,radio, 40mm, etc, wouldn’t be booby trapped on their person. But yeah if you find a random rifle or mag that you didn’t put down do not pick it up lol.
