@@brianbadonde9251 A player being Overrated doesn’t imply they suck at what they do. Even the NBA Storyteller would agree that Stockton had a good career for himself. I suppose you could argue Malone is overrated for his playoff underperformances, as for Stockton, those who argue he’s overrated seem to argue that he was a good role player in too big of a role. Ergo: Utah didn’t have much playmaking outside of John Stockton, and if it did, the team might have been better, but he wouldn’t have his assist and possibly steal records, and some argue that without those, he’s not a 30-35th ranked all time player by consensus. If you are of the opinion that John Stockton belongs around 30th all time, then unless you have Paul Pierce, Reggie Miller, or George Mikan over him, then you also are probably implying that he’s the best player who never finished top five in an MVP vote.

Something interesting that I glean from your David Robinson and Patrick Ewing takes was that both of those guys wear turnover machines. Robinson had a career 2.4 and Patrick Ewing had a straight-up 3 turnovers per game. Both those guys had a couple good years were they didn't turn it over as much and that actually lowered their numbers which would have been closer to three and a half.

2011 happened and he's the one who picked Superstars over depth. Neither Steph or Duncan are better than Lebron yet they have better teams. That's why 2020 is Lebron best ring. That's one time he did it right: 2 Stars and depth and would you look at that, he's now back in the Conference final with that formula.

The Spurs were a great team that won 5 championships but never a dynasty. Warriors became a dynasty at LeBron’s expense, so they were not one until 2018. So no LeBron did not go up against dynasties

@LouisSportsNetwork If you win multiple championships, doesn't that make you a dynasty? I don't watch a lot of basketball, but the reason people consider the Patriots a dynasty is because they won 6 rings and appeared in 9 or 10 superbowls.
@louisvelez40
@louisvelez40 Жыл бұрын
@@matthewcrispinwordofGod Not necessarily. The Patriots were called a dynasty when they won 3 super bowls in a 4 year span including going back 2 back. They were able to win 3 more after that. What they did was impressive. When they beat the Eagles in Super Bowl 39 and won their second straight Super Bowl and 3rd in 4 years, that is when they became a dynasty

For people who are like currently 22-30, Carmelo is maybe the most overrated player of all-time. Really good never all-nba first team, only 2nd team twice, and a 3-13 playoff series record. People have an emotional attachment to him but he's such a clear step below his contemporaries. He's like a slightly better Paul Pierce if KG never came
@Zach-bt2ky
@Zach-bt2ky Жыл бұрын
I can tell that you are quite young, or just recently got into the nba (you never watched Carmelo). I think he's massively overrated too, but your choice of arguments to critique his career just exposes your ignorance, man. Being second and third team all-nba after Lebron, KD, Dirk, Timmy and a few times Paul Pierce can still mean he was a (great) player in his prime. Who the hell gives any credence to all nba voting anyway? Do you really judge people by their journalist-voted accolades? By the way, in EVERY one of his losses in the playoffs (in his prime, denver and nyk) he was on the underdog team.
@StarvinLG
@StarvinLG Жыл бұрын
@@Zach-bt2ky You caught me, I'm 7 years old and just started watching the NBA. Yeah yah dumbfuck I literally said he's really good but clearly a step below all his contemporaries, he's not near the level of Lebron, Wade, TMac, Dirk, Durant even like Chris Paul or Dwight honestly. And if you wanna discount all-nba as "judging people by their journalist-voted accolades" that's your prerogative but I think MVP, All-NBA, and other awards still give you a useful snapshot of who was considered the 10-15ish best players that year.
