Yeah, not so shure. I mean you can understand enough to like it, but there are so many subtleties. Like when he tramples over the edelweiss... Edelweiss is the symbol of courage, strength and dedication. The qualities of a true man. Yet he tramlpes over them without even noticing, while praying for big breasted women, whom are all over him. He is not noticing any of that because he is blind, not just for his environment, the good things that surround him, (big breasted women) but allso to his own qualities. While being ridiculously fun, this is such a surprisingly profound song at the same time.

Really good choice to watch the videos with (translated) subtitles! The lyrics add so much in combination with the visuals... You have to watch "Zeit", "Angst" and "Adieu". They are very deep and powerful. Another very creative video from older times would be "Sonne". And if you wanna get something more of their funny side, "Zick Zack" would also be interesting.

No, that in the beginning (and in between) is not "circus vibes". This melody is "Muss i denn zum Städele hinaus", which is actually a german traditional with text in swabian dialect (not bavarian, as the video might suggest). The chorus of the song comes from the children's song "Muss i Denn zum Städtele hinaus..." which is very well known throughout the German-speaking world (Germany,Austria, Switzerland). The band part in the beginning is so called "Oom-pah" band (a.k.a. umca kapela in Czech) and it is traditional Central European thing...not just for Germans but also for their neighbours in areas bordering Germany. You can hear them often times during folk festivals in villages even these days.

My recommendation is to watch the standard video of 'Mein Herz brennt" fist, in my opinion the piano version has much more of an impact after watching the normal version. For another more comedic video i'd also recommend 'Zick Zack'.

Well the way they are all dressed up is still a thing and not "old time" ...watch an Oktoberfest vlog and all are dressed up like this... It is basically "the traditional festive clothing"/"Sunday best" in Bavaria, Switzerland, Austria = "in the Alpine regions" just for special festive occasions/events..kinda as like as the Scots wearing "kilts". The "traditional real stuff" for male and female are handmade-to-measure clothing ornated with traditional stichings which are variational from region to region which makes them recognizable from which region those actually from and costs actually loads of money...although those in the Rammstein video aren´t, but just replicas.

Spieluhr is a bit hard to find any good video for, it is one not so well known song. Feuer frei should be watched live version. The dance with clapping on the thighs and slapping each others face is really a traditional thing in southern Germany. Switzerland, Austria, Northern Italy and Southern Germany are a lot a like. Its basically one Region. If you go to the area you can visit 4 countries in the distance of North Carolina to Georgia. Actually 5. Southern France also a little to the left. :D The Letherpants and the female Dirndl Dresses are very common in the south still for Octoberfests and Townfests. Very often in Rammstein songs, there is a double meaning in it. At least how i understand the meaning. It's not to glorify big boobies. I think the meaning of the song is today in society we don't see what is important anymore. That it is not about how big boobs are but character is what makes a relationship work. Till Lindemann is playing the old man wearing lenses like he's blind. Like today in the world we have become blind to what is really important and that's not big tits.
