I'm sure this will be said a million times, but for the back panel on solo hotrod mode, you can rotate the legs into place to lock them into the panel, and it avoids any and all flexing and stressing.

Rodimus Unicronus is actually one of my favorite POTP figures just for how fun it is. I skipped out on the regular Rodimus Prime one though. I felt like the half Shattered Glass half metalhead look was all I needed out of the mold.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I love Nemrod, lmao. I totally agree about the actual sports vehicle mode effectively coming across as more threatening and visually impactful in the darker colour scheme; It lends a certain additional sleekness to the design which suggests a more aggressive driving style; It pairs well with high speeds and high energy, which retains the original Hot Rod/Rodimus vibe while successfully meeting the idea of a darker take on the character. (And the Winnebago mode as a hearse would have been such a great way to change the design for a darker concept while maintaining a bigger, chunkier frame... Now I wish we got that, although I'm pleased with how silly a big ol' evil Winnebago is!)

When you made that Motörhead joke it clicked how similar to Lemmy Kilmister that look is. Black like leather, silver lines like a studded jacket, and that dashing-as-hell handlebar and mutton chop echoing Lemmy’s own look. Like seriously, I can see Rodimus ‘Cron blaring Motörhead’s version of “Hellraiser” while knocking the sprockets out of Optimus, all leading to him saying something like: “You’re enjoying this as much as I.”

One of my favorite pieces in my collection is the Fansproject Rodimus upgrade kit. It takes the Classics Hot Rod and turns him into a beast with the super cool trailer\weapons platform.

I ended up stumbling onto a site that does 3D printed add-ons and upgrades. They had a scythe that breaks down into a sword, and the shoulder cannons from the machinima animation for UnicRodimus. Pretty affordable too.

I highly recommend the Shockwave Lab 58/59 uprade kit. They give the smaller bot new thighs and knees as well as a pair of gun things. The new thighs and knees give the Rodimus mode some much needed outward shoulder movement where you would actually expect it to be. The guns also fill in some of the gaps in the shoulder area and they also help keep Hot Rod's thighs in place while in Rodimus mode so that you can properly use the new outward shoulder movement. They guns don't really have anywhere to go in vehicle mode though. I ended up trimming down the little Titan/Prime master pegs near the 5mm weapon ports on the top of the trailer so that I can stick the new guns sideways on the little 5mm nubs. The Titanmaster pegs got in the way a bit and I don't care to stand them on top of vehicles anyway. They're also not bloosh compatible so off they went. With the new weapons up there, I then stick the regualer weapons into the 5mm ports in the new weapons. The quality feels off but they're 3D printed and that's just what 3D printed stuff feels like. The color matching for the paint they used on the parts is pretty damn good too. Just having the outward shoulder joints makes me really like the PotP Rodimus more. It's something so simple that ends up creating a decent change in how it works. Now to wait and see what this rumored Rodimus Prime is going to be like. Leader, commander or whatever it's going to be.

A long time ago, Van Horso pointed out that Energon Rodimus's alt mode, a souped up rat rod fire truck, is what G1 Rodimus Prime should have transformed into and I haven't been able to get that out of my head ever since. Along with a lot of other Van Horso stuff.

First, that head sculpt is fantastic. Though second, I feel like he just needs some sorta big goof cannons or something to hold when in vehicle mode with the doomabeago attached. Have it look like its a massive set of weapons his hauling to the battlefield or something, bonus points if it also looks like the stage equipment from a metalhead concert.
