I started watching this thinking, "hey this is perfect timing. I'm buying a house." Not realizing that I would be left craving the final install episode, scratching all the bugs I have found under my skin while I wait. I need my fix, man! I NEED it!!! I can't see myself going with a half rack so have been seriously contemplating the RM-4. Really want the RM-6, but was too pricey and would want to cut down both sections anyway to make it less monsterous in size. I am losing hair just thinking about it. Can't wait to see your finished product, my dude. Love the videos.
@BasementBrandon5 жыл бұрын
Have you thought about the Fortis RM-4? It's much more affordable, but it has welded panels, so as long as you don't have to carry it down to a basement it shouldn't be an issue and is a good way to save money!

I got an american barbell squat/bench rack with pull up bar and although a 4 post rack would be ideal I can do almost all the exercise I need to do on this rack. I am not a competitive power lifter just trying to get fitter. Cycling and tennis are my main sports. I can do all the basic compound movements with my rack only complain is without bolting it, it moves a little bit even though I weigh it down but it’s not something I can’t fix with a little adjustment once it’s near at the edge of the mats. I agree with all your logic until you talked about the Hyundai analogy. For cars your 100% right. So many moving parts, the fact that it literally explodes internally so many times per second yea I can get behind that. But when your talking about slabs of metal that don't move and if indoors have a very unlikely hood of rusting. There's really nothing massively different between 11 gauge steel. Yea I kno there are difrences based on supplier but hopefully you know what I mean. After owning a Titan x3 rack and a rogue rml 390f I saw absolutely no difference between the two and feel extremely cheated after buying my rogue rack. Wasted over 500$ in my eyes. But that's just my opinion.
@BasementBrandon5 жыл бұрын
Games, Gains, And Petroleum things there’s a noticeable quality difference in material, shipping, customer service, and warranties IMO. Remember I too have owned a Titan X-3. I also think your bad experience with Rogue is playing a role in your judgement. You have to realize the Tian experience is typically bad for most, while the Rogue is usually good. You just fell into the minority here.
@mattdagger14805 жыл бұрын
@@BasementBrandon yea everyone has different experiences. I just personally didn't notice a improvement in what arrived at my doorstep. The 4 posts looked almost indistinguishable other than the welds. I was expecting a 500$ increase but couldn't notice it personally. Rogue definitely makes great stuff no doubt. I just wasn't satisfied unfortunately

It may not have been so bad if I lived closer also and didn't have to pay so much for shipping. That could have been a bigger part but idk.
@Pler19785 жыл бұрын
@@mattdagger1480 sounds like rogue was out of your budget and you were expecting way too much but if you think a couple hundred bucks for shipping is some big deal. I have the rml 390f and think it's their worst rack... The flat foot design actually makes it wobbly unless you use shims... If it had 4 corners it can level out a bit. Its also can't really be modified with real weight storage... Don't mean adding weight to back posts as it then isn't very good for working out inside. Big mistake going cheap as I'll get an rm6... I bought nearly all the attachments.

Quick question, is the Rep HR-5000, now the PR-5000 and you'd just get the 4 post version with a smaller depth like 16". Given the Ares and the bigger ecosystem options Rep have now eg: dips, leg rollers, iso arms and an 80" or 93" height option, do you think Rep would probably win out over Rogue as it would do better on the footprint and ecosystem criteria? I know you've since done the half rack video on PR-5000 in clear coat and wandered if you think it's best

Curveball! This was perhaps the most objective decision process I've seen from someone.
