Another enjoyable instalment, some people complain about the prices for youth hostels and b&b's but for me there worth every penny because on that walk when you've had really hard and wet day you just want a little bit of comfort well I did anyway (must of been going soft lol ) thanks for sharing 👍♠️

They're stunning, a word I don't use often, lol! My favourite section had to be from Middleton in Teesdale to Dufton, some awesome waterfalls and High Cup Nick was truly "stunning" :) Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas! Atb Shaun

Stunning, as you say Basha. A thought has occurred to me, remembering the walks you have done, they are in huge, remote areas of harsh ( to my mind ) landscape, where even the trees show the difficulty of living with the climate. And you seem very much at home there, whilst I have a similar feeling towards the rolling chalk downlands I have grown up in. Both places are equally beautiful, but I know to which one I belong, and I'm pretty sure you do too. On the subject of The Tann Hill Pub, I did come up with a very sick joke that VIZ didn't publish on their letters page.

Cheers Ade. Stunning is a word I used a lot on this trip, but it was most definitely not overused. I am a bit of an anti-social person, I like time on my own and I love being in places that take me far away from other people and landscapes like that definitely supply that. I really want to hear this joke now! lol :) Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun

After they put new double glazing into the pub, I sent a letter to viz saying that, perhaps Ted Moult should have said: " You only fit them once, so fit the best, Ely shotgun cartridges".
@BASHADweller5 жыл бұрын
I had to google that if I am honest Ade. I can see why though, but I thought Viz was a bit more risque than that.

I even looked at that wet rock before standing on it and thought to myself "that looks slippy" and I stood on it anyway! 🤣 Aye plenty to explore there mate. I got a lot of footage so there may be a part 3 and 4 yet, depends how shit it is when I edit it! 🤣 Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun

Never been to the Tan Hill Inn before but a place I always said I wanted to go and have a pint in - happen one day. Great views along the way but I bet was still a bit nippy on the tops mind, just as well you were in a hostel and to be fair, not too bad for £39. 528 meters is pretty high for a pub and I bet a pint went down well, cheers Alan
@BASHADweller5 жыл бұрын
It's a nice little pub Alan, decent food and they have live music on most nights. I enjoyed it, a bit on the pricey side but they don't exactly have a lot of competition! :) It was a bit chilly up there but the views made up for it. The hostel was worth it in the end, nice hot shower, warm bed and some where to charge my electronics, can't moan really for the price. Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun

@BASHADweller5 жыл бұрын
It was worth it. Warm bed, hot shower and it allowed me to have a little pub crawl in Hawes, so not bad and I didn't mind spending the money. To be fair, if I booked earlier or was a YHA member I would've got it cheaper. Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun

Yes mate, there are many stunning vista's in our country. £2.50 to pass through a country turnstile is not only absurd it is a rip off, I would of climbed over and whent to see the waterfall mate, after all this whole island is all of ours to enjoy freely not just bits of it.
@BASHADweller5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this walk was a good reminder of that. Having spent so much time in Scotland the past few years, I forget just how nice England is also. I know mate, bloody scandalous. Believe it or not, the place even had CCTV, hence not jumping the turnstile. I couldn't be bothered with any potential fall out from doing that. Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun

I done it in 16 days, well I like to say 15 1/2 as I finished before midday on the final day lol :) If you follow the itinerary in the trailblazer guidebook, which I used, 15 days. It can be done quicker, just depends on what you want to see or how many miles your willing/able to do each day. 15/16 days seems to be the average. Atb Shaun

Duck falling down that water hole this video wouldn't have been uploaded.£39 quid i'd rather sleep in me own piss lol.....only joking its good to get a shower. Seven days thats the longest i've been out , on the Rob Roy Way. Charging to see a waterfall it should't be allowed really. The highest pub but hopefully not the driest.
@BASHADweller5 жыл бұрын
Aye it is good for a shower, but other than camping, you wouldn't get anywhere around there for anything near that price. Yeah I agree, they shouldn't be allowed to charge for a waterfall. That's England for you, every thing is owned by someone and they can pretty much do what they like. Most definitely not the driest pub although I gave it a good go to get it that title also! Lol 😂 Thanks for watching. Atb Shaun
