very nice video. I have a bootlooping Iphone X becaue of the flex charging cable. I bought on online, when I plug it to the motherboard, the phone is now not rebooting anymore but it panic crashes after 3min because of a missing thermosensor. is the sensor missing on the new flex cable or it is because I connected only the part to the motherboard ? it apparently has 2 other connectors on it. thanks

thats an ambient light sensor that gave you a bit of trouble, not the flood illuminator:-)

sadly you can't change the faceid, it is linked to the mother card of the phone for obvious security reason.

Check the terminals on the underside of the sensor. There is a notch on one of the outer ones which shows you the correct orientation

Happened to me now with my XS Max (after 9 months) & with my 11 Max Pro (after 3 months) - get back to me please in case you found a way to solve it for yourself - if not, we should still get together and explore legal options - it cannot be, that they sell devices deleting themselves, that‘s a joke!

Osman Celik I did the same in January when the XS Max -how I rightfully call it- broke itself (within warranty) & Apple told me there is nothing they can do, now, 4 months later the same thing happens with the iPhone that I bought in order to leave the trouble with that XS Max behind.. that is a joke, Apple tells you they are the ‘Mercedes’ of mobile devices, but in reality they sell Trabant’s (if anyone cares to remember those - otherwise google, it’s worth it). They cannot sell devices that delete themselves whenever they fell like - it’s insane not to consider legal action..

Osman Celik well, it happens late last year with the XS Max already & then I bought an iPad Pro 12,9” in order to have something that works - that beauty came with a broken volume button out of the box; had to get a replacement over Christmas & New Years (because of 4 week return rule); this beautiful piece of courage then got itself into boot loop while I tried to reset it (get my Apple Pay & ‘find my’ turned off) & until this day iCloud tells me I have to iPads & my credit card is active for use on the one that I had to send back in boot loop to not get charged for not sending it back. The day that got shipped back by mail, I received the 11 Pro Max, understandably I was done for the day after 4hrs of Apple Care talk, so I put my XS Max in my Desk charging, right next to that sealed brand new 11 Pro Max, ready to start transferring data the next morning; the awakening - iPhone XS Max: Boot Loop, please return to December backup - took 4 weeks to get shit working & to achieve getting the 11 Pro Max to backup to iCloud successfully & now that is the most recent backup (3 months old) because it‘s imho all along an issue of iCloud syncing, (like yours did), when it breaks itself after having 90% full storage - it reported what I see as the underlying bug initially on the iPhone 6 Plus, no one cares. Well, I care about their anti privacy syncing operations deleting my devices & my data. As long as people just take it, a market cannot function, because bad actors won‘t find to be corrected.

Technically, if you do data recovery, why not to disconnect face id, boot, copy the info = done? I mean, there is no need to do any fix if you can boot without face id cam connected and just make a backup in itunes? Sry, not an expert in iX if I'm wrong
