I know I’m like a year late, but the “Freddy needs you to be afraid to hurt you” weakness literally does not exist. In most of the movies his increasing power came from the souls of his victims. The closest thing I can really think of is Freddy vs Jason, but even in that movie it wasn’t fear, but the amount of people that were aware of his existence. Another interesting thing to note is that Freddy never really…gets defeated long term. Every defeat he faces ever only really amount to a mild inconvenience to him, where he usually immediately returns in a twist ending to that same movie. So even if Batman pulled him out of the dream world once and killed him, that wouldn’t really be a defeat since Freddy will just be in the dream world again waiting for Batman to fall asleep. Overcoming versus embracing fear seems like a lot of semantics. Both are seriously vague and up for interpretation. And I would assume that overcoming fear means to accomplish a task you were afraid to face. Batman feels fear but I guess "embraces" it, whatever that means, resulting in him accomplishing the thing he was afraid to face. So like, what's the difference? Basically when Batman understands the mechanism of his enemy's attacks or powers, he's already won the fight. He's got serious mental discipline and is unfazed by illusions or hallucinations or mind control tactics. Once he understands how his enemy works, he only needs a little bit of time to figure out a weakness or a way to turn his enemy's powers against them.

Some of these people would be able to beat batman especially with him having no prep time. Also some of the characters would give him no prep time. For example more likely than not Predator would challenge batman to a fight. Then fight him on the spot, because for people who know about predators they like to challenge people they find worthy and they will go to them for a fight, taking back a trophy, usually being their skull with their spine still attached, after they have won, if they do win obviously. I have to argue that about Jason through. Seeing that you mostly connect these horror icons with other DC villains. Taking a look at Jason, even if he gets blown up there’s still one problem that Batman has to face, and that’s Jason’s ghost possessing him. He has done this before in Jason Goes To Hell. Where the entire movie he’s jumps from one body to another and eventually his body gets back to normal. And even though Batman can defeat a powerful unstoppable being, Batman is only human, Jason could simply possess Batman and go on a killing spree with that and once he leaves Batman’s body, Batman will die. Also bane is just a very buff guy due to Venom, and he broke Batman’s back. And seeing that Jason can do this stuff on his own, it’s easy to say that Batman doesn’t stand a chance. Also that comics seem to take out all of the abilities of Alien and Predator. Seeing that when Batman kills a alien it’ll spew acid blood that can melt through Batman’s suit and harm him, and predator has high weaponry far advanced than Batman’s normal roster. Also the argument about “he’s beaten them once before” isn’t really that good. Take for example Also HEAVY Godzilla vs Kong spoiler: Godzilla Vs King Kong. In the original 1960s movie. In the recent one, Godzilla almost killed Kong, so in a sense, a rematch can happen and anything can happen. For freddy, in the first movie, Nacy said that she wasn’t afraid of Freddy, and Freddy disappears, but still came back to torment and kill Nancy. Also in Dream Warriors, the kids didn’t seem to be afraid of Freddy, yet he was still able to kill them. So just because Batman doesn’t fear freddy, doesn’t mean freddy can still harm him. If anyone fears freddy, he has power to do anything to anyone. Also, freddy can use Batman’s parents as a distraction rather thats to stab him in the back or shapeshift into the man who killed his parents, and kill Bruce himself.

If we are talking about the original Freddy would be harder, he is less durable but can take just as much damage as Jason and can warp into the real world and dreamworld at will. Also in the original he is slower and less of a good fighter however he can kill regardless of you fearing him. The Freddy from the reboot or from Freddy VS Jason is going to get stomped.

Pennywise would run from Batman. The Dark Knight Detective? He would do his research on Pennywise before going to Dairy Main. And look at the damage a group of 10 to 13 year old kids did to him in part one. Batman would do 100 times more damage to that clown and wouldn't show any fear. Pennywise only defence would be to remain invisible to the Dark Knight. Eventually though, the Dark Knight would find a way to call him out.

Pinhead is the only horror villain I'd say beats Batman. Pennywise is absolutely no issue. He loses power if you don't fear him not just in the book too. Maturin went out of his way to help a bunch of kids he'd definitely want to help one of the greatest heroes on Earth. Taking the form of various scary monsters and attacking physically, he must adhere to the laws of physics and weaknesses of those forms as he inhabits them.. And I doubt he's going to take a form more dangerous than Killer Croc or Bane or Grundy. So in a fist fight Batman curb stomps no prep time. 2. Psychological encroachment, like showing illusions, taunting, directly attacking a victims psyche. Batman has overcome Crane's fear toxin AND resisted Psychic attacks from Demons, Aliens, human telepaths ect. In a battle of wills Batman wins easily (a bunch of kids did it without the turtles help). 3. Showing victims his true form, the "Deadlights". Batman sat in the mobius chair without going insane and im willing to bet he could look behind the source wall abd survive too. Beverly looked inti the deadlights without going insane so Bruce could pribably stare them down like a boss. He could never kill Pennywise true form but I dont think anyone besides the turtle can. Could he solve the mystery of the dissapearences in Derry, kick Pennywise's ass back into hibernation and survive ? Hell yes he would
