7.8??? this games brings NEW and awesome gameplay ! who carrs if graphics from indu game are not AAA, they would be outdated fast anyway but the new gameplay they created and nailed should stay forever. i’m now dreaming of similar games for skies of arcadia, harlock and so many more franchises ! it’s a gem, period.

Did you get it? I have the game and all the DLC put in a solid 80 hours on the hardest difficulty, still have 5 missions from the last DLC to complete.

This is not what i want from a Battlestar Galactica game. Something like Mass Effect or even a Telltale game would be much better.

We're never going to get it; it's time to give up. The time for games like those to come out would have been during the run of the main life of the series, so 2004 - 2009. Nothing ever happened during that time period (a lot of blame can be cast on NBC / Universal, which just don't seem to know what they're doing as far as licensing out their IP for other media like video games). I think we are lucky to have gotten the game we've gotten this long after the series ended. It's a depressing statement but it's reality. By the way, on its own terms, Deadlock seems like a good game and something worth buying, although I agree with you it's not the "Mass Effect: Battlestar" or "Freespace: Battlestar" that fans were begging for a decade ago.

The original BSG was way better. Trying to compare a new show with a 70s show is really lame. Old BSG had a better sound track and was a way bigger hit than the knockoff. Old BSG was on Network TV while new BSG was on SyFy or whatever second tier network it reruns on. The actors in New BSG are B stars. Old BSG had a better cast and Baltar was better than the new one. The Final Five was a total joke as a plot line.

Movies and TV are for story. Games should be about games. No one cares about the back-story of Pac-Man and no one cares about the storylines from movies made about games. Game stories need only be functional. Half their work is done because the 'viewer' immediately identifies with the protagonist (player's character). The best storytellers work in film first. TV and games second.

If you like spaceship battle strategy games this is one of the best especially in terms of actual ship to ship combat. Plus lots of dlc and added ships and campaings.

@@mrg466 No, it takes place during the first Cylon war when Adama would have just been a regular Viper pilot on the Galactica, which is in the game, but established characters who were mentioned having roles in the first Cylon war are in the game.

@@mrg466 also the original 1970s Battlestar Galactica ship design is in the game via the Artemis class battlestar which is pretty cool.
