When I saw K100 cafe racers few month ago, I knew it was the one for me. Found really great bike near me and bought it few weeks ago. Absolutely love it. The engine makes these look unique.

@BayCityRestorations

Appreciate you watching! I buy all the brake lines from Venhill. They are all custom sizes so they don’t match up with a specific bike. I’ll have to look at what sizes I used and get back to you.

Love the build man, can I ask when you ordered your triple tree what off set you went with (30 or 40mm)?
@BayCityRestorations
@BayCityRestorations 2 жыл бұрын
Mine was the 30 but I would recommend going with the 40 to get a bit more steering angle. When I do my next k100 I will be doing the 40mm offset.

I have a question: that front axle is for Honda or this is the BMW?
@BayCityRestorations

The Honda cbr front axle is used. It fits the original K100 wheel.
@maqdev
@maqdev 5 ай бұрын
Didn't it significantly reduced turn angle? New forks seems bigger and closer to the engine/radiator reducing angle?
@BayCityRestorations
@BayCityRestorations 5 ай бұрын
Yes, swapping to the CBR forks did reduce turn angle due to interference with the tank. Jax garage has newer version of the front end kit with a higher offset which helps with the steering angle.
@bigxsuave
@bigxsuave 11 ай бұрын
what's the bottom triple tree diameter for the cbr forks trying to order everything in advance and can't find any answers in the forums. upper is 50 but don't know the size for the bottom and couldn't see it on your screen recording.
@BayCityRestorations
@BayCityRestorations 11 ай бұрын
I believe it was 54mm but I sold this bike so I can’t take a measurement to know forsure. The Jax garage kit will accept forks with a lower clamping area of 53mm to 55mm.

Front end suspension components is not really something you want to skimp on. Most kits all run around the same price range. The cheaper alternative is keeping the original forks and shortening them to get the bike lower in the front.
