I just noticed that too. I'm not sure whether he was doing that deliberately for effect or not. It's like he usually buttons his jacket when he steps up to a make for a gig so he did it unconsciously here and then realised that it was pointless because he would be walking away in a few seconds. I'm going to have to watch some other episodes now, to see whether he does the same thing or not.
