@williamreadyourmind21 күн бұрын
yes, a simple solution would just be have the ai recognise the location and state of the trapdoor, so when they know the trapdoor Is blocking them (in this case), and when they are on the level below (like in farms)
@Duskkit2 күн бұрын
In recent versions there's also an extra horse bug that compounds on top of the longstanding weird behavior mobs in general have with trapdoors. Normally unless being ridden by a player horses only jump a single block high, but now trapdoors cause them to use their full jump capabilities. So it's much more noticeably a problem now... That part could be fixed without breaking farms (unless somebody has made a horse breeder that automatically sorts them by jump height). I will note, though, that powdered snow could be used instead of trapdoors for causing mobs to fall in farms. It's, as far as I know, separate from trapdoors and more intentional that most mobs see powdered snow as a walkable block when it isn't. So if trapdoors were fixed, pitfalls would be more expensive to set up but not completely gone. It's only the cases where mobs try to walk through a trapdoor wall that might not have an equivalent.

Bdubs, you can sent that filtering redstone signal straight into the calibrated sculk sensor (there's an amethyst "port" on one of the sides), and the sensor will only react to noises of the equivalent strength. It not only saves the trouble of having to manually filter the output signal, it stops other noises from flooding the sensor and preventing it from detecting the sound you want. With how your trap is currently set up, all Joel would need to do is make a different noise right before hurting the horses, and the sculk sensor will be too busy receiving the other sound to detect the hurt noise and trigger the trap.

Bdubs, here's the thing with copper aging: 1) Aging slows down if there are other copper blocks within 4 squares. 2) Aging speeds up if a nearby copper block is aged more. The trouble is, item 2 doesn't speed up the aging more than item 1 slows it down. Xisuma has a copper-aging method where he puts down a solid floor of highest-aged copper, then puts a solid layer of unaged copper above it. This works because of the higher density of copper aging. For Xisuma, each copper block will take longer to age than if he spread them out in a 4-tile grid, yes. BUT. Since the density of placed unaged copped blocks is 16x that in a grid, he gets more aging-events per coordinate space. Bdubs, you are aging low quantities of blocks at a time, it seems like. In this case, placing unaged copper on top of aged copper will, in fact, slow the aging of the unaged copper. Stick to putting the unaged copper by itself 4 blocks apart.
