Trade the pick.. draft Harrison Jr and build this team with the draft capital you receive..Fields was 71% completions 8 TDs 0 ints.. over 97 QBR on throws to DJ Moore.. add Harrison Jr ahd maybe even Brock Bowers and all of a sudden you have playmakers everywhere.. Fields will ascend.. and the Bears will compete to win the division and be in the playoffs in 2024

We all know the the defense and special teams, aka #23, is what got the 2006 team to the Super Bowl. Yet if you go back and watch every game that season, it was the OC (he's paid for enough publicity, no need to name him) who was shown and named in EVERY SINGLE GAME. I could have understood if Rivera was shown and named in every game. Offense? Don't talk about offense. Are you kidding me? 🙂 So yes, you are absolutely right!
@KSheldonBailey1023
@KSheldonBailey1023 7 ай бұрын
I don't see Eberflus being involved on the offensive side of the ball AT ALL. Why would he now that he has an experienced OC with a track record of success? If he wasn't involved when he should've been (maybe) with an inexperienced OC, he certainly shouldn't be involved now. Don't like how they're already tripping about if he'll be on the sideline (versus in the booth) and what that would mean. You don't know him to say he'll be trying to be seen as a HC. It's completely unfair to assume that if he chooses to be on the sideline. Maybe it'll be simply because (especially in year one) he wants to be near his QB and other guys to coach them up or encourage them eye-to-eye. When you have a good OC they do what's best for the team and the know they don't have to be seen on the sidelines to get a HC job. The results of their work will secure them an OC job, not their presence on the sidelines with the headphones. You guys surprise me to come up with something so trivial. He hasn't even taken the field and you're already nitpicking and assuming the negative.

There are 2 separate topics of discussion that can be made with such a nuanced conversation about the bears QB situation. Has the Bears given enough help to Justin since he got here in Chicago? Most of will honestly say no. Now with that being said going forward, should the bears pass on a Qb rich draft class at the expense of giving him a 4th evaluation and possibly $45 mill a year despite how low his passing numbers are? Honestly the answer is no.

No matter what they do, the Bears have already failed at possibly the greatest coaching off-season in history. There was nothing Eberflus did to make anyone think he was the best available option for head coach. The defense did not improve in the 2nd half of the season, they picked up Sweat. And even at critical moments at the end of games where they blew the lead, Sweat wasn't even in the game.

The defense definitely improved after Flus took over. I agree tho, they blew the opportunity to get a better head coach.
