BEASTMODE SHOULDERS AND ARMS - Intense Upper Body Workout | Day 2

The complete shoulder, biceps & triceps are worked in this upper body workout! 4 sets of each exercise and set rest periods to get through a lot of reps!
For this upper body workout you will need a pair of dumbbells and your mat! I am using a chair for to perform the Arnold Presses seated but this is not necessary and you can perform them standing!
The dumbbells I am using are 12.5kg each and 8kg each!
The timer will be on throughout for 40 seconds of work, 20 seconds rest!
Each exercise will be performed for 4 sets!
There is only one exercise within this workout that pops up only 2 times and is performed for only 1 set at a time; the partial lateral raises!
ARNOLD PRESS X4 sets
ALTERNATING LATERAL RAISES X4 sets
STAPLE: PARTIAL LATERAL RAISES x1 set
ALTERNATING FRONTAL RAISES X4 sets
REAR DELT PARTIAL FLYES X4 sets
SKULLCRUSHERS x4 sets
TRICEP PUSH UPS x4 sets
STAPLE: PARTIAL LATERAL RAISES x1 set
ALTERNATING HAMMER CURLS X4 sets
ROTATIONAL CURLS x5 sets

I loved the slow pace and repetition of this workout knowing what is coming up next!
An extra set of curls is towards the end as I felt we had extra time!
The arms will work very hard in this workout so to get the most out of it, focus on your form! Always perform full range of motion as best as possible!

Just my glutes are sore today. I think my glutes are lagging behind the other muscles so they worked really hard yesterday to keep up. So I’m happy with that. Everything worked hard yesterday, it’s just that it was a little harder on my weak glutes.

I’ve injured my leg due to an accident & I’m recovering right now. I completed this workout (barring 2) seated on a chair. It feels different but it’s doable. I’m so happy to complete it. My life has changed since following Caroline’s workouts. Thank you

Hello! What dumbbells did you use? Is this also for men? I did this with my auntie but it was brutal! I could only manage with half kg (1 lb) dumbbells but lasted barely 11 minutes when my arms completely gave up. My auntie did the entire lesson using 12 kg and 8 kg dumbbells! I feel really low and defeated.

Wasn’t yesterday a fantastic start to beast mode? And today we have a brilliant upper body session...looks like we will be working through the whole upper body with high repetitions! It’s going to be intense but I’m sure we’ll all smash it and have fun along the way! Have a great workout everyone! Thank you again, Caroline! Matthew Hi Caroline...all finished...I just loved this...I love the way the intensity builds up over the repeated sets! Skull crushers followed by tricep push ups were hard and I just loved the extra set of curls at the end! Not sure if this was deliberate or accidental but it was a great little extra challenge at the end! I loved it! Did it all with 8 kg which was good for me! Then I did the add on. I was a bit worried about this as my upper body was already tired...but I really enjoyed it! It was great to put down the weights and do body weight moves for 15 mins! Thank you Caroline...another wonderful morning of working out! Have a lovely day...still very hot and sunny here! Matthew

Yay! On to this one soon! Just finished beast mode legs. I did all sets of 90sec wall sits!! Took advice from one of the comments to picture a beach setting and also kept telling myself “this is a rest, this is a rest”😉

I did only one set ... during others I had to take 2-3 breaks..... All because I wasnt picturing the beach! :D Gonna try again next time! :)

Completed June 13, 2024, with 21.25 for shoulders, 17.5 for lat raises and rear delt, 26.25 for triceps extension, for biceps 17.5 and 15 for rotational curls

Beastly bicep day, everyone! You're gonna feel this one! I never have a chair the right height, so I'm always using my stability ball every time Caroline is using a chair---even for those love 'em, hate 'em Bulgarian lunges. Enjoy the bicep burn, everyone! Arm definition on women looks amazing!

I really loved yesterday's session! My lower body was on fire!🥵My legs are still sore but I am going to crush this upper body workout and give it my 100% best! Unfortunately I’m not able to do some of these shoulder exercises due to a full rotator cuff tear ..I usually improvise or lower my weights considerably. Surgery is in three weeks. Trying not to do more damage. Kudos to Caroline and all of her followers! I really love her workouts!

I just watch these eating my porridge 🤩 I don’t actually do any of the routines i just up tips as no way I could keep up with Caroline’s routines & I think I’m pretty fit 💪🏻🦵🏻🥵

Hi Darnitthelma...you really should take the plunge and actually do Caroline’s workouts! You will so much love them and you’ll never look back. Try starting with some of her shorter ones or the beginners epic series! Once you get into them you will so much enjoy it! Have fun! Matthew

@@matthewalmond4688 cheers Matthew I know you’re a super fan I’ve seen almost all your comments 🤩 I’ve had spinal surgery & am limited so I take tips & use them. I can’t do plyometrics and anything too heavy so adapt & use certain moves in my workouts. Enjoy ☺️

Yesterday's quad focused workout was amazing I never thought I can do the complete exercise but I did it and I feel very strong and motivated than ever and I could do wall sits brilliantly.. Caroline has given us so much strength and physic I literally worship her and wait for her uploads ❤️

That’s great! 4 series of triceps push ups are a challenge 🙄! We’ll do our best! I love the video you uploaded as the add-on today, I did it yesterday after leg day! This was one of the best arms workouts I ever did. It worked out all parts of my arms and shoulders. Your demonstrations of each exercise were very helpful. Most of all your enthusiasm for exercise is contagious and your focus on the viewers is obvious. This combination is rare. Thank you!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I surprised myself with yesterday's workout... I was able to hold the wall sit for almost the entire 90 seconds...a few months ago I could only hold a wall sit for around 30 seconds. I also did the optional abs add-on yesterday... my quads and abs are now very sore so I'm looking forward to working upper body today! The weather is beautiful here so I'll likely be going for a bike ride after this. Have a great session everyone and a lovely day!

Hi Heidi! Is this also suitable for men? I am a man and just started this lesson but it was so difficult 😞I could only manage with 1 lb (half kg) dumbbells but my arms just completely gave up and I stopped at around the 12 min mark😟I wish I can be strong, muscular, and empowered!

I was so sore after day 1 of this series that I actually forgot to comment ont that video😅 I struggled to walk all day yesterday and getting out of bed this morning was an adventure, but I'm glad to be training with Caroline again after a long break😁

Done with 12.5kg and 7.5kg dumbbells. Partial lateral raises will never not be tough. 🔥 Going to take a few minutes to mentally recover before moving onto today’s add-on 👍🏼

Hello! What dumbbells did you use? Is this also for men? I did this with my auntie but it was brutal! I could only manage with half kg (1 lb) dumbbells but lasted barely 11 minutes when my arms completely gave up. My auntie did the entire lesson using 12 kg and 8 kg dumbbells! I feel really low and defeated.

For me it was the 90 minute wall sit. 1st: I collapsed 3 times, 2nd I callapsed once, 3rd I made it by focusing on breathing. In my defence I was wearing 15kg weighted vest.

What I love the most about Caroline is that she brings such a variety in her workouts. I hate when all upper body workouts are divided into back and biceps or chest, triceps and shoulders. Personally I sometimes like to train my arms more than once a week, so just whole upper body day once a week and then a shoulders- arms workout when I feel like it. Mission accomplished: arms toasted. I can’t believe how much stronger I am at tricep push-ups and how much muscle is starting to show. I’ve got a few weights and a bunch of bands. So for the lateral and front and some of the bicep work I wanted to try out a band, just to see, I liked the constant tension from the band, that tension worked great for the side and front raises. I’m in between weight ranges on some of the moves so adding in the band helped me add a little more tension where I was not able to go up to my next weight set. I’ll have to play around with the bands to see where they can fit in for me, which moves, maybe even a band plus a dumbbell at the same time where appropriate. Awesome workout. Loved it. Thank you.

I didn’t fully feel this one until I dropped my weights after that last set….and my arms turned to jelly. Working on curling with 15lbs, and today was the most reps I’ve ever managed before having to drop to 10lbs in each hand. I got through 5/9 bicep sets with the 15s. Love that feeling of slow and steady growth and progress💪🏻 UPDATE (August 2023): Redoing this workout one year later, smashing through every set of those bicep curls with 15s, realizing I’m ready for 20s and buying myself a pair to celebrate 🎉😊

Happy Tuesday All! Hope you enjoy today’s session, I completed and loved it. I wore 2lb wrist weights and used 15lbs throughout and 10lbs for finisher. The slow and steady moves 4x are perfect for keeping form. I will definitely do this one again! Thanks Caroline🏋🏾

Yay! Day 2 of beast mode! Another extremely challenging workout. I added in an older 8 min. Lower and routine that she created last year. I used 20 and 25lbs for the Arnold press and then dropped to 12 and 15lb dumbbells for the remainder of the exercises. Thanks Caroline!

Great to focus on strength work. My shoulders were pumped. I tried using 12.5kg but the form was not good, so dropped to 9’s and did more reps. Still trying to increase my strength so this workout challenged me. Triceps were a Beast too 😅 The time literally flew by today!! Thank you Caroline for your positive energy today 🤩

Found your workouts on line and dabbled in them but just had a chance to start this series yesterday. I.love.it! As a senior (69) I love the previews, the rest periods, no distracting vocals, motivating music. I have worked up to 8 lbs for these workouts and feel like I'm accomplishing my goal of retaining my strength to continue to do things I love. Thank you so much for Caroline!!

Caroline was suggested to me by a female friend. And these workouts are serious!! I used to do a lot of P90X type workouts but wanted something a bit more focused on resistance workouts. My legs are sore from Day 1 and im sure tomorrow my upper body will be the same. I wasn't sure if these workouts were designed for women or not. But after 2 days of this im sold. Great job Caroline. I will be using you for the next chapter of my fitness journey!

Day Two love repetition work it really does exhaust the muscle and really allows you to zone in on the job to be done. Went for 15 & 10kg today and to be honest I definitely could have went a little heavier. However everything was well worked and pumped 👌 even did an extra 4 sets of shoulder presses after the finisher. Definitely seeing increases in strength and really happy with the form. Another one for the revisit list for sure. Excited for the rest of the series.

Hi Anthony...I enjoyed this one too...I just used 8 kg throughout which challenged me but was doable! I loved the extra set of bicep curls that sneaked in...all good fun! I did the add on afterwards...I really wasn’t sure about this as my arms were tired...but I really enjoyed the shift from weights to body weight moves...I’m glad I did it! Very hot again here today...definitely poke weather! I’ve been in the university today chatting to people and we have a couple of people leaving at the end of July so went to see them. One us retiring and one moving to France! The campus looked lovely in the sunshine! Hope you have had a nice day! Matthew

The first person I bumped into was a PhD student, Zoe, who complemented me on my running. Nice of her and she had seen it on Strava. It’s interesting how many people have found me on Strava from different parts of my life and very nice! I only started using it because Caroline said she would use it for her sprinting! Hello Caroline, I first did 15 mins of physical therapy exercises on my left side with 2 lb DB to strengthen my rotator cuff then had time to do 20 mins of this workout! I appreciate all your unilateral shoulders and arms workouts so much. I always feel so good after doing your workouts. Thank you so much always.

My legs were shaking after yesterday and today I have a certain level of DOMS in my quads. Loved this upper body workout! I love training upper body and I had to switch down and switch up weights pretty much every exercise and loved being able to push whereas I'd have switched down to lower weights and stayed there a few months back train like a beast, indeed! let's go!

Hi! Is this also for men? I am man and did this with my mother-in-law but it was brutal! I used half kg (1 lb) but could not last even 7 minutes when my entire body completely gave up and I stopped and my MIL told me to go and rest to recover. My MIL did the full session using sets of 8 kgs and 12 kgs dumbbells! Her biceps are thick and powerful like Caroline's and she has massive strength and stamina power! I feel really low and defeated. Is this very difficult for men?

Did any one notice the music gets super charged in middle of the 3rd rep it really spurned me on - I had a smell on my face thinking - Caroline thinks of everything- loving this week !
