Frozen Card Gaming Portuguese and Italians aren’t Latino my guy 😂😂
@FrozenCardGaming5 жыл бұрын
@@Epicmonkeyboy046125 Latin people started off in Latium, which is in todays region of Lazio, Italy. The majority of Latin Americans have Latin European ancestry, notably Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Romanian. The term "Latino" and "Hispanic" is not an ethnic term, and those who use it as such are using it wrongly. Using it as a cultural term is more correct. Just as some use the term "Caucasian" for white people, when most white people in Europe don´t view Caucasians as white (Armenians, Georgians, Azerbaijanis), and people outside of Caucasia are NOT caucasians. Most "latinos" from Middle-America and South-America are in fact "Mestizo`s", which refers to a mixture of races. The most Latin Latino´s in term of actual Latin descent would be Argentina or Uruguay, which has a 85-90% white population, where a large portion stems from Latin-European countries, especially Italy and Spain.
@Epicmonkeyboy0461255 жыл бұрын
Frozen Card Gaming might have started off that way but words change over time, now a days nobody says Latino and people are like “oh like Spain”...plus everyone just thinks of Italian as European anyways, if you look up Latino definition it literally says “of Latin America descent” last time I checked Italy isn’t there
@FrozenCardGaming5 жыл бұрын
@@Epicmonkeyboy046125, Spanish people aren´t thought of as European? What kind of morons think so? Here´s the definition of Latino when googled. (in North America) a person of Latin American origin or descent, especially a man or boy. It specifies that this is the definition in North-America. The same region that falsely labels white people as Caucasian. White people is not ONE race, neither are black people or asians. You differentiate between Greeks, Latins, Germanic, Slavic etc. not ONE of those are even remotely Caucasian. The word "Gringo" literally comes from "Griego". Like I just explained. Being of Latin-American descent does NOT equal being a latino on ethnic ground, just on cultural ground, and even then it isn´t all correct as the indigenous people of the Latin-Americas are still very prominent in terms of culture in the countries of Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, etc.

Elliot Sterling I doubt it. I've got family who live in Skye and Inverness, should they be forced to learn their native language? Nope, they don't need to as they live in places where English is the main language. Learning Goidelic (or Gaelic) shouldn't be forced upon people, nor should people be forced to learn Spanish in the USA. I myself am from Aberdeen in Scotland, I have a Doric accent which is almost a completely different language to English. Yet, my son and the newer generation are speaking proper English with just a hint of Doric undertone. Does this make me sad? Yes of course, my language is thousands of years old, but will I ever force my son to speak it? Nope!

Though such a mentality has its cons, i kinda envy that kinda mentality. i'm a Chinese-ethnic & for too long, overseas Chinese suck up to the west so much & gives so little emphasis to cultural preservation, that the majority of Chinese not from China, Taiwan or Hong Kong, can't speak & write Chinese anymore, especially those who're 3rd gen & below. even where i'm from, where Chinese language-based education is goddamn robust (one of the best in the world outside of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong), we find a good bunch who can't speak Mandarin, can't write Chinese, & proficiency of other Chinese dialects are barely passable at best. it's a rather sad thing to see.

1 out of 5 Latinos look Indian just like Russel Peters (Venezuelans, Brazilians), 1 out of 5 looks like Tony Montana (Salvadorans, Hondurans), 1 ouf of 5 looks white as a Russian (Argentinians, Uruguayans), 1 out of 5 looks like a Filipino (Peruvians, Bolivians, Guatemalans), and 1 out of 5 Latinos look as black as a Jamaican or a Nigerian (Dominicans, Panamanians). But a black Latino feels closer and more like a brother to a white Latino than to a Jamaican or an Afro-American. Spanish and Latin culture is what bonds us together strong like a family.

This was hilarious! C'mon man I liked it being an Indian. I absolutely loved his Indian accent jokes in other videos too, and I'm sure other Indians would agree with me here. I don't see a problem unless someone says some racist slur or something overly discriminatory.
