Random Fun Fact: In the windmill level, the headless mannikins originally had heads. If you look up the cinematic reveal trailer for the game, you can see the original version of the enemy. For the curious that don't feel like looking it up, it was a smooth porcelain mask with two narrow eye slits with a teardrop coming from one of them. Unfortunately, From got threatened with a lawsuit claiming that the mannikin's masks were too close to the ANBU masks from Naruto, so they decided to just go "screw it" and remove their heads entirely. Some people have modded the mannikin head helmet that the player can get to more closely resemble the cinematic reveal trailer version, but since the new version has lips and a nose it just doesn't look right

It's pretty funny that you can run into a scenario like that in each Souls game. In DS1 you might think heading down the Catacombs at the start is the normal way to go and end all the way down at Tomb of Giants. In DS3 you can Fight the Dancer and unlock Lothric Castle, a very late game area, before even fighting Vordt who appears after the tutorial boss.

i mean this game wasn't made by Miyazaki, all he did is go into the game files a year or so after release and randomized enemy and item locations and sold it as the Scholar of the First Sin edition, it's why the enemy locations in this playthrough seem so nonsensical and unfair at times
@knob7131 Жыл бұрын
@@GBlockbreaker That's largely also true for DS2 base game, this game takes the design philosophy of quantity over quality to an extreme and hordes of enemies are prevalent, Scholar also doesn't change the DLCs in anyway and if you look at the the DLC area shown in this video and tell me that's normal then mate, I don't know what to tell you.

About iron keep: Yeah you were at the top of a windmill Iron keep is there because Ds2 went through development hell and so some areas had to be stitched together awkwardly.
