Which is to say, I used an overleved starter Pokémon for most of the game until that no longer become a viable strategy and never beat the Elite Four. 😅 I’d love to replay Platinum but sadly I lost my cartridge years ago. Maybe later down the line I’ll get the chance. It’s nice that Platinum ironed out some of the complaints people had with Diamond & Pearl. You can find more Fire Types like Houndour, Magmar, and Flareon, for example. Ponyta still evolves late, but you can catch one much earlier and they now learn Flame Wheel from leveling up.

@@mosstits They have never done remakes of the third game in the series before and that would set precedence for future remakes. the reason that is bad is because some generations don't have a third game/sequels. Nah still the worst region since gen 2. It looks worse than all the other 3d games, and worse than the ds 2d games at the same time. Its the easiest game by some margin and the game just hands you some of the best pokemon instead of working for them. Like in sinnoh you get a lucario by beating a mini dungeon, hatching an egg, maxxing its friendship and levelling it all the way from 1. Meanwhile kalos just gives you a mega lucario, one of the most broken pokemon in the game, and it’s mandatory. It adds barely any new pokemon, and so many routes are empty. Nothing like the mansion, old chateau, valor resort and lost tower (in d/p) which are all completely optional side areas.

@@dabmonstr7403 I do rather not like how there are so many rivals at once that they don't really get developed, how Mega Evolutions were supposed to be the big thing the region introduces but limit what you can use severely and gives so few to the opponents you face, and while this last one is completely subjective, I also hate how it basically started what I consider to be the Charizard Oversaturation

Omg hilarious how we actually thought bdsp is gonna improve on the sonnig experience. I even packed out my old ds to play platinum again because I was so disappointed. The underground was awesome tho I really liked what they did with it
@tena20133 жыл бұрын
Pokemon platinum will remain the definitive way to experience modern sinnoh. Legends arceus is its own thing and BDSP will not replace it at all
@haunteddreams14983 жыл бұрын
nah, the reamakes with quality of life changes while looking different will most likely play better. let alone the game speed. the og gen 4 games are just so damn sluggish
@peanutbutter67203 жыл бұрын
If they just make the exp share toggleable, I think bdsp could have a chance at replacing platinum. Unless they make it ungodly easy, that is.
@tena20133 жыл бұрын
@@haunteddreams1498 they look terrible and qol doesn't replace everything platinum had. Its wait and see now but if oras removed the battle frontier, bdsp might do the same

Yeah seems to be the case unfortunately. I wanted BDSP to be the definitive version just like how HGSS was for GSC.

Platinum is still the definitive Sinnoh game, even with BDSP being released

I wanna finish watching this video completely, but this intro did not age well, as BDSP turned out to be trash that badly missed the mark with how Pokemon remakes are supposed to be done. BDSP did not, in fact, "improve upon" the Sinnoh Experience.

I asked for Pokemon Platinum way back thinking it was a sequel at first I felt dissapointed but eventually came to love seeing all the changes and improvements from DP by myself.

0:31 That statement did NOT age well 0:40 It still is, BDSP isn't good lol 30:05 What did the Distortion World do to you? I personally love the Distortion World despite how little there is to do there, it's just a great set-piece for the Final Cyrus Battle and the Giratina Encounter :V

no, it aged just fine. the vast majority of people like it
@jaydenlobbe79112 жыл бұрын
@@PaPaSea Despite the fact that it's arguably the worst Remake so far because it includes almost none of the Platinum Exclusive Content (Unlike HGSS which included most Content from Pokémon Crystal) nor does it have Brand-New Content focused on Giratina (Unlike ORAS which has the Delta Episode) and no the method to obtain the Griseous Orb doesn't count

Platinum was one of the first pokemon games that I played and the guide really did help me and that guide book was very well worn, torn, and written in. I replayed platinum so many times
