215VDC pulling 175 FLA 41 HP traction machine I would think the voltage would be closer to 360-440 VDC, to reduce the current draw. 175A is a lot of current.

I know you all are not professional camera guys but is there a decent video of a lift machine room? Not one that flashes from right to left and try to get all movements in one go. Slowly move around to give a good oversight of the machine. Is the commutator good of color or sparking? Let us see that the DC motor is getting the lift to a stop without using the brake... The brake is just there to keep the lift in it's place when it stopped. Then slowly go over the computer, controller, governor etc. I always get motion sick if I watch KZbin clips of a lift and I use to build and maintain those myself.

I’ll try to get good footage next time. Never really know what to focus on when I’m in a machine room.

Is it true that all Elevonic 401 systems use motor generators, while all Elevonic 411 systems do not?

Looks like 7 elevators in a row. I believe the code has a limit of only 4 elevators in a single hoistway. What kind of building is this?
@EWPA145 жыл бұрын
Yes there are 7. It's possible these have seperate hoistways. This is an office building.
@kansasthunderman15 жыл бұрын
@@EWPA14 The code requires that a group of 4 elevators must be in a 2 hour fire rated shaftway. So if there are 7 elevators in a row, 4 of them will be in a fire rated group and the other 3 will have their own shaftway..
@EWPA145 жыл бұрын
That may be the case for newer elevators, but I doubt that's the case here, since these are around 100 years old, & probably got "grandfathered-in."
