I did this to my sons dad, because I still lived with my mom and she would judge him. When she would mention things that were no big deal to me, I would run and criticize him. I saw myself breaking him down and I pushed him away. I regret it but that relationship made me want to self reflect and change. Also to realize my mom was projecting her hurt and bad relationships on to me.

This video made me very emotional because I am married and I definitely criticize him in hopes of change and he constantly says that doesn’t help him but I didn’t know where to begin in changing that. Thank you for sharing this!! So much food for thought!! I need to learn how to edify him and help him re- associate me with positivity. So much wisdom here. I appreciate it!!!

Great message! I can relate to this video in terms of using insults in hopes of improving someone behavior towards me. I not only successfully hurt people, I also reduce myself as a person. Negativity breeds negativity. I’m happy to say I no longer behave in this manner, but it took a good bit of trial and error. I wish I came across this video earlier in life.

Hi Monique, I've been watching a few of your videos, you are always such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing this story, we as women allow our insecurities to take hold of us and some of us don't acknowledge our part in the "bad" relationships. What I think we ought to do is LEARN from each experience and work on becoming better versions of ourselves. God bless you sweetie!

As a fiance, I definitely don’t know how to not be critical too. I always feel that he could do so much better without me. But he loves me through all my bs. He’s so amazing and a girls dream but sometimes I feel I take him for granted. I need to learn to speak power, and uplift to him

I have gone above and beyond in relationships before these videos were available. I am conversational, mysteriously risque and submissive but not a doormat, clear about my expectations and open. I can get any man by the way I carry myself as well. Still my finances are not satisfactory and when men find out I'm a single parent and struggling men RUN and stay gone. I have done all I can ,I'm a awesome woman but I'm not giving my 75% and left empty anymore😔 thanks for the energy and truth put into your videos (I'm a newbie)you are a beautiful woman elevating woman. Keep changing women's lives.

Thank you for sharing this with me and us. I did what you did years ago with my boyfriend just last night. He opened up himself to me, and instead of being loving and compassionate about what he shared, I criticized him. I feel horrible. I know it's because I probably am too broken or scared to give him what he REALLY needed at the time. I signed up for therapy today... I don't want to lose him, and I truly pray that I haven't. 😳😳😳🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

That was still disrespectful of him because he could have said what he wanted. Would he have been so understanding if you would have practiced with another man. I appreciate your vulnerability, and as far as what he wanted he could have helped and told you earlier what he wanted, like, I would appreciate it if...We can’t give them a double standard. We may be immature, but there are still boundaries and morals to keep.

Way to go sister. One thing I disagree with though is you said that you don’t want to give and not get anything in return but that is not God‘s way. In fact a lot of relationships that I have known,n the women are really suffering because they feel that their husbands are not living up to their potential or they’re holding them back or they’re not doing this or that and they just feel totally at their wits end and so one of the things that I told them is you just need to do your part you just need to give expecting nothing n return. If we expect things in return and we don’t get it then that is disappointment and disappointment leads the frustration and frustration leads to divorce and just whole lot of health problems ,headaches and high blood pressure etc. etc.That is just what I have learned from counseling and seminars and a marriage workshop and it has helped me a lot not ever husbands are good or great and we can’t Taylor made everything for every relationship so what do you do when the man is just no good LOL?

So many negative comments coming from negative people the woman is giving her experience and the outcome that she wants to share with us at least she admit she she snooped and realised we're she went wrong so stop bashing her for giving wised advice
@queennefertiti36866 жыл бұрын
You lost me with, "you pushed him into the arms of another woman". No matter what you do, that's a choice he made. I would never take the blame for his decisions.
@tstar17666 жыл бұрын
Queen Nefertiti I think what she is doing is look internally, rather than the blame game. That helped her to focus more on what she can change about herself, rather than his shortcomings... And yes, it was his choice, but Monique chose to focus on herself and fix her in order to learn and be the woman that she is today... The woman that can uplift a man with her words.
@lonewolflovechild73906 жыл бұрын
Queen Nefertiti ...precisely!
@lonewolflovechild73906 жыл бұрын
Terese Tess ...this is exactly right! However, in the process of self examination, one must recognize that ANYONE can learn a lesson from a bad situation, but let's FIRST acknowledge the fact that the other person in the relationship (who had choices) made a conscious decision to disrespect Monique in the first place. THIS happened FIRST. Her man MUST accept accountability for lack of respect in their relationship and not shift the MAIN focus on the valuable lesson learned. The lesson is a true blessing. Yet, it is an aftermath of a messed up situation created by someone who dishonored the relationship. Lessons are valuable...very true...but how many of us go INTO relationships specifically to get disrespected...just to learn a lesson??? Do the right thing from day one. Don't do as you please as an indirect way of contributing to humanties life lessons. My thing is...we can sometimes learn these lessons with each other when we are meek, naive and don't know any better...just as much as intentional foul play. Keep intentional foul play out of the lesson plan!
@tstar17666 жыл бұрын

This made me cry, cause I did this so much in my last relationship thinking this would change or push him, because of the potential I saw, thinking it would spark change, and he would tell me all the time that I emasculated him alot, but I thought it would change him for the better, and a day before I left for work we had a serious & passionate conversation about it, and he was so angry yet emotional but I couldnt put my self in that emotional state at the point of time cause I was late for work but I had apologize and left not knowing that was the last time I would see my baby alive,

Thank you so much for that message! I really like this man and I hurt him because I'm allowing my own insecurities get in the way. I'm a plus size woman, he empowers me by saying I'm beautiful and how proportion I am, and instead of believing what he says I become negative. I've come from and have dealt with hurt as a kid, in my marriage(I'm no longer married) but I always feel I'm never good enough! Well, I said if you don't want me just leave me alone and I've said more then needed and this time was the last straw....he no longer talks to me he would answer the phone but no feedback and he has been so good to me, that now I'm just hurt and wish I could take it back, but I can't. What can I do or say for him to reconsider ?
