You have to do what you enjoy, and the rest will come with it. But Consistency is key in my opinion, regular uploads, plus I put up videos almost every day, and sometimes what you think is boring and mundane is helpful and inspiring to others, don't say no before you've tried :)))) Great video as always :) Marc

Cheers Marc I appreciate the feedback. You be might right, after Goku's reply earlier, i'm thinking about doing something simple with more advice and rather than going overboard with the videography. I'm going to try and be consistent for a few week and see if that helps numbers too.

Definitely better for you to put out content 1x a week. I almost forget about your channel until it pops up on my subscription playlist and then I'm like oh yeah this guy is awesome. I'd love to hear your thoughts on running, give advice, do reviews, things like that would be entertaining and will help grow your audience and keep your audience. I started doing a weekly Goku Runner talks and I was thinking there is no way I can keep it up week after week but it hasn't been bad at all. Good luck on your training and on your videos.

Cheers Goku, I appreciate the feedback. I really enjoy your Goku Runner Talks video, so maybe I should consider a video dedicated to talking about running, giving tips and talking about Ultra Running... hmmm maybe interviewing people :). Now that I'm back doing medium distance long runs on trail every Thursday I've got vlog content. Cheers for watching

I'd say consistency is key to keeping the subscribers interested and engaged. I think most viewers will expect that some videos will be more interesting that others but as long as it's a continuation of your running journey people will tune in to watch. With your editting skills the quality is always high so I don't think you've anything to worry about.

Cheers buddy. I will try and be more consistent for a while, just to see it that helps with subs/views. To be fair mine are normally fine but I always wonder how much better it'll be. Now that I'm actually on a training plan and running regularly again I think I'll make sure I'm keeping everyone up to date

Agreed I defo watch because you edit a video so well

Personally I watch videos of people running to get me motivated enough to go and run myself, especially when i'm feeling knackered. It doesn't have to be all-singing, all-dancing to be motivational; it's enough to enjoy watching someone else just go for a run somewhere scenic. I enjoy your videos particularly because they closely match the kind of runs I do, plus you edit them really well. For that reason, I reckon it's better to post stuff on a weekly basis.

Thanks Sarah, I really appreciate the feedback. I know exactly what you mean about watching videos to get yourself motivated, I do the same myself when I don't fancy going out for a long run.

Consistency in running is key. Quality in vlogs is key. Make your channel your way and we will continue to watch.

Cheers robert, I really appreciate the comments. I'm doing lots of fun long runs on the weekend at the moment, and capturing them for the video seems to work well.

It is difficult sometimes to make a video each week, particularly at this time of year with dark evenings. I have a plan for creating content each week except that the weather hasn’t been playing ball with those plans & I’ve had to abandon filming, which has been a real pain.
@TrailRunningWales5 жыл бұрын
Definitely. This time of the year, there's only a small window of opportunity to film. Last sunday I was filming on my long run and then my camera died 🙄😢
