Please laugh with me. Because honestly I'm laughing at myself. And that's good. So check it, the reason I'm here is because I recently went to the gym again after not going for a long while. The trainer was taking me on a machine tour teaching me each machine that she incorporated into the workout she prepared for me. Well, (and this is where i laugh at myself). I've completely forgotten what each machine looks like and how they're used😊😅😅😅. She did give me a chart with my personal workout printed so here I am with chart in hand looking for each machine by name and learning how to use them so I won't be completely humiliated at the gym😅😅😅😅 even tho she did her job of explaining them to me. This is why I ended up on this vid. Ahhhhhh to be 62 and completely forgetting the lesson😅😅😅😅. Wish me luck guys. ❤

Thank you for sharing. I’m just now getting back into weight training after several years absent. As a young person my focus was to look good, well beauty fades and now 30 plus years later my focus is to be strong, live an abundant life full of activities and most of all be fit for my grandkids. I hired a personal trainer and I’m on my way to reaching my short and long term goals. I will say working out with weights and drinking lots of water has boosted my energy level immediately. Wow what I have been missing all these years. Come on you older folks get in the gym and don’t feel intimated by the younger generation along side you because many of them are helpful and want to see you succeed.

Thank you for your comment Michael. I'm glad the video is useful. Sure, you can train your upper body with machines only, make sure you are keeping it balanced with the number of Push/Pull exercises. 5:14 As far as I understand, if it is pulled all the way it will not activate the target muscle the best way. But my question is 1. Will it harm the target muscle? Question 2, if we pull to the end, doesn't that activate some other muscles + terget muscle? Also great video, I ask just to learn more.
@timbullici8 ай бұрын
Hey Karlo, thank you for your comment and question. it's not necessarily pulling down all the way that's the problem. It's ending up with rounded shoulders when trying to pull down all the way which makes the exercise less effective at training the target muscles. Yes, if you can pull all the way down with good form, yes, that's great. For a full video on the Lat Pull-down technique, please check out this video. I hope it helps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rp-umXZqop6Xgqcsi=AFgyA8PszLAacTYz

What do we do if we are of a shorter stature and the chest press machine doesnt allow us to adjust the seat high enough so the handles are at chest level? Does that mean we just cant use the machine?
@timbullici Жыл бұрын
Hi John, thank you for your comment and question. In that case, I would try and place yoga blocks on the seat to adjust the machine correctly. Perhaps some weight plates and then a mat on top might also work. The free-weight alternative for this exercise would be a dumbbell bench press which of course is a great option too. Hope this helps.

Do these exercises need to be performed in this order, or can you mix it up? Sometimes, if a machine is not free... it can kill your session
@timbullici8 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment and question Jamie. The purpose of this video is to explore the technique for each upper body machine, it's not exactly a workout video. So the exercise order of the workout which you want to follow will depend on yourself, your training goals. I do have videos on the channel which explain the programming aspect more.
