For Sanctifying Elixirs you get one for the battle pass, three are found behind barriers you need to craft rings for the pieces of which are in Luxurious and Precious chests of that region, and every 10 levels of the Sigils gives an elixir.

​​@@JelloImpact I found something about the Artifact Transmutter. The Extraction Points used to get the elixir doesn't based on the exact level of artifacts you put on. It is based according to every 4 levels of the artifacts. These are the pattern I found out: Artifacts levels Lvl 4: +4 Extraction Points Lvl 8: +8 Extraction Points Lvl 12: +14 Extraction Points Lvl 16: +22 Extraction Points Lvl 20: +30 Extraction Points I hope these will help. ❤

The biggest part for me about Santifying Elixir is not just that there is three of them in a secret room in overworld but there's 2 full sets of the recent artifact in every room, that's a lot of resin free farming! I even got a double crit HP% sands for my Mualani from there. I wish they'd put even more 5 star artifacts in overworld for us to discover, it makes exploration satisfying.

These days with weapons giving upto 88 CritDmg and 4 pcs giving 36-40 Crit Rate we can use HP% or Ark% Circlet double crit and that actually makes the characters really cracked

Atk/Hp circlets can be viable on certain characters but they’re still not going to be stronger than Crit in most cases. Currently the only character that can really get so much Crit to reach diminishing returns and want a non-Crit circlet is Neuvillette, and that’s still only a small upgrade IF you have absolutely insane Crit stats on your other artifacts. If you get a good HP circlet with double Crit substats, it might be worth using. But I wouldn’t go for it intentionally and I definitely wouldn’t use the Transmuter for it.

​​@@ivy-ry3msNone. Instead, focus on grabbing previous and luxurious chest in each tribe region. It has a chance to give a ring fragment. Collect 3 and combine to get a ring for each tribe. Go to each tribe secret (search on Google to find it) and unlock it. It give a lot of 5 star artifact and 1 elixir for each tribe. Oh yeah, the ring fragment is random. You can't search on Google which luxurious or precious chest has it.

yeah, farming for months just to get artifacts with 2 crit sub stats is already exhausting then this gadget arrived only to end up not really very useful. When Genshin announced this on the 5.0 special program I thought they were cooking something good for the player base, the gadget was over-hyped and it turned out to be less than an upgrade. I honestly think it would be much better to add an event that doubles the artifact drop that last for a week like those x2 mora and exp books event than this transmuter thing.

You can craft more than one artifact - the limit is just one artifact per set. If you get more elixirs (such as the three you can get by opening up each tribe’s secret room) you can try for another one.

The Artifact Transmuter should be used ONLY after you're done farming for that domain. There is nothing worse than spending your 4 elixirs and getting the same stats when you farm that domain again later and no one else to use it on. Use it to fill in the holes in the unlucky rolls. Think of it as your "pity".

​@@barshansamanta8123 Think of the crafted one as the "finale" for your set. It just allows you to move on to another "series" sooner rather than later. If it rolls bad you kinda just have to keep going until you get the final piece or until the new update rolls around for another chance.

​@@tuvvy8116I used my elixirs for my alhaitham's time piece and the rolls are all ass, the sub stats were CD: 7.8% CR:6.2% Atk:51 Er:11.0% All that rolls for 2 elixirs I still have 2 to spare. My experience with the transmuter was horrible and I don't see it as a very rewarding gadget to use, since it has very limited use at least make it boost the probability to roll for the preferred sub stats. To me it's just another way to farm artifacts no different to domains or scambox.

27:03 You can get 6 as a f2p rn, 7 if you count the mail that we will get sometime in the future, 8 if you own a BP. - you get 1 from each tribe in natlan (3 right now) [you need to open precious/luxurious chests and collect "key items" to drop] - you get 1 every 10 level for the natlan sigil exchange (2 right now, it would be a total of 5 once we can exchange past lvl 20) - 1 from extraction The biggest problem right now of this new feature is that only 1 elixir is "renewable" for f2p players, as most of the elixirs rn is one-time only. I'm really hoping enough people give feedback so hoyo listens whether be it more extraction per patch, or we get more from major events just any sort of improvement on the feature.

Honestly I think the biggest problem is that the "renewable" elixir is so expensive it might not be worth it. 100 levels of 5 star artifacts is A LOT of exp that could be used on upgrading potentially good pieces.

there are 7 potions this patch, 2 from the natlan reward "tree", 1 from battle pass (paid), 1 from extraction, 3 from tribe rewards (each type of obsidian ring gives one potion). doubt we'll get this many every patch, but it's a nice start for a new region. i figure every patch we'll get 1 from extraction, 1 from battle pass, and maybe 2 from other means (events or exploration rewards) the natlan "tree" will probably give us a couple more but thats not a per patch basis thats just one reward structure for the entire region.

I think the best use of the elixir is WHEN ACTIVELY FARMING, and you already are happy with 3/5 pieces, then use it on your missing pieces, get a filler piece and wahbam. Youre finished.

I ended up crafting an elemental mastery VV goblet for kazuha. I use him a lot in the abyss, and even after almost a whole year of farming artifacts, I only have 3 EM goblets on my account. None of them VV. I crafted CR and ER substats. This lets me use him potentially with fav, xiphos, or freedom sworn depending on the team and ER needs. My reasoning is that: A) I'm not strongboxing VV anymore. I have a lot of mid-decent VV pieces, and my supports do not need that high of a resin investment. B) my kazuha is using an anemo goblet with lots of great subs. I want to switch to both on set, and EM could let me use even better off-pieces elsewhere. C) If I end up strongboxing VV again in the future, even if I do get another EM goblet for VV, there's other anemo supports who could make use of it, so it wouldn't be a waste. Additionally, it could end up being an off piece for other characters who want that EM goblet. I ended up down 4%cr (and the anemo damage bonus), but up 2ER and 187 EM. Sadly, most of my rolls went into def%, but what can you do. That's the true garbage of artifact rng. Maybe this sort of thinking can help other contextualize how they want to spend their crafted roll.

Yeah, I would agree that going for a final EM piece in an all EM build is worth it, especially if it’s a set you’re strongboxing for. Yes, you can wait for it to come but it can take months if not a year+ chasing down one piece when instead you can using all those artifacts to generate full sets of Noblesse/Tenacity/other support sets for multiple characters or improve on pieces for other sets for your key characters who are always chasing better substats on all their pieces. Strongboxing for an EM goblet on VV is just getting flower/feather/sands/circlet over and over and over again and all of them are basically useless once your Anemo characters are already equipped with their VV sets (maybe you can find occasional offset pieces for another character). Since the substat rolls are less important (you can make sure to get ER on there, though, and CR for a Fav user), you’re guaranteed a usable piece no matter how it rolls which means it’s guaranteed value for your elixirs.

I genuinely think the artifact transmuter was pretty terribly implemented because as it is right now it doesn’t benefit new players who should get the most value from it, and experienced plays and even for players with well built accounts, the XP required for crafting 1 elixir could be better spent on leveling up their existing pieces. And I swear I’m not just salty nearly every roll went into flat atk on my goblet. If a feature requires that much investment and feels worse to use than existing features, it’s a bad feature imo. It feels 20x worse than getting bad rolls on a farmed artifact because you had to invest so much into it

Here's my speculation on total number of elixirs: 1 from anniversary rewards 6 each tribe obsidian rings 9 every 5.x version using fodder artifacts 5 each 10 level of flame of Tona (pyro sigils) 9 from every patch battlepass 21 total as f2p and 30 with bp So you can craft 4 to 6 goblets in Natlan patch

27:25 in this patch we have 6 of this elixir, one that you can craft, 2 from using your pyro seals in the monument up to lv 10 and 20 rewards , and more 3 exploring the map and opening high level chests, they drop pieces of a key that unlocks special areas of each tribe, so by this logic, when they release more tribes and make more levels of the monument available, will will have more elixirs, right now we have F2p enough elixir for one goblet plus 2 to spare, next patch with new areas and the rest of the tribes we will have at least more 6, I'm pretty sure that we can consistently craft one goblet per patch if you are playing the game and exploring the world.

The number of good substats defines what you should level, and Artifacts that start with 4 substats have considerably more potential than artifacts that start with 3 substats. For example, Xianyun wants only ATK% and ER%, so a piece with both is considered *really good*. If you really have nothing, you can even try levelling pieces that start with just one of the substats, especially if it's one that already starts with 4 substats. Now xiangling wants 5 substats, ATK%, ER%, Crit Rate, Crit DMG and EM. You can be A LOT more demanding for pieces for her. You shouldn't level any flower/plume which doesn't have the potential to have at least 3 good substat lines, and it's not terribly difficult to find pieces that have all 4 lines with good substats. Another possible diamond in the rough could be EM flowers and plume of the Viridescent Venerer set, which have EM and start with 4 substats, even if they don't have ER as well. There are builds for Kazuha and Sucrose that don't care about ER, and just want as much EM as possible. So as a rule of thumb, on the flower and plume, any piece that has N-1 substat lines can be attempted to level, and a piece with potential to reach N lines is really really good, where N is the number of possible good substats you're looking for up to a maximum of 4. N-2 flower/plume is something you should level only you're really desperate to get a piece just to get out of the ground. For sands/circlet, the number of good substats is reduced by one. On-set goblet of the correct element is extremely rare, and could be worth it even with zero good substats.

30:51 My account was a good example of this very thing. I had been farming ToM (both in the domain and via the strongbox) for over half a year in total and I was still missing a crit rate piece for my hybrid Zhongli build. Mind you, I was able to build one decent 4-piece Pale Flame set and _five_ decent-to-cracked 4-piece ToM sets during the farming. I was just extremely unlucky with the circlets I got, both with the main stats and the sub stats. So right after I had the needed elixirs to use the artifact transmuter, I immediately used it to get that sweet, sweet crit rate circlet (with crit dmg and er sub stats) and levelled it to +20. It isn't the most cracked piece, sure, but it sure as hell made me happy to know I don't have to think about farming ToM ever again (most likely, hopefully, please).

If you need an em main stat and crit for a piece, it can be worth it going it for it. Since a double crit em piece is the rarest thing you can get. For example, if your Mulani have no em on her pieces so you require a lot of em on the sands, it can be a great piece to go for. If I remember correctly, an em piece with double crit takes on average one year of resin only spent on that domain. Only thing I have to add really great video Jello.

This is more of a nitpick than anything, but I feel it's important to mention that there are accounts that have essentially no use for Marechaussee Hunter - they didn't pull Neuvillette/Lyney/XIao/etc. It's not like Emblem where a bunch of the best 4 star characters that most accounts are going to build also use it, even if you have good Golden Troupe units like Furina and Fischl you might not want to farm it rather than strongbox it. Personally I still do not have much use for it.

You are right although furina also enables using mariachi set on your on fielder. So both sets are good if you have furina. The same thing could be said for the new natlan sets, im waiting for the information of what kind of kit maruvika will have before starting to farm those sets because i dont like both mualani and kenich.

@@latitude990 There aren't 8-10 uses for MH though, it's like 3-5 realistically and they're all on field carries. It's very different than Emblem which you can use well on Xiangling/Xingqiu, or VV on your anemo character of choice, Noblesse on Bennett and other supports, etc., these are characters you can assume most accounts will be using. You cannot assume most accounts will be using a Marechaussee carry. Most people use their five star pulls on either their favorite characters, general high power/value support characters, or other five stars that work well with their favorite characters.

It's just highly valued because 4-6 meta characters use it, when a lot of other sets are more useful across your account because of the wider variety of characters now. Besides, Deepwood is the VV of dendro teams, and Gilded Dreams works great on pretty much anyone since it's the "reaction" set.

There are 3 areas that you unlock by obtaining the corresponding " obsidian ring" for that area that drops 1 artifact of each type (flower, feather, sands, goblet circlet.) for both of the new sets and 1 sanctifying elixer. So there's the crafted one, battle pass, natlan tree, and 3 free ones from questing. We should also eventually receive one from the mail.

For your flow chart, you should add to that tricky part: "Does it have 4 substats on lvl 0?" because I only keep so-so unlevelled that are 4-stat drops. Free roll, so worth keeping for later rolls. Otherwise, melt it for strongbox or level to 4 for transmuter.

On using the artifact transmuter, I'm considering the potential time saved when you use it. A goblet would save 6 months of farming and you will stop farming the domain ever again while a flower or feather can only save 1 week or 1 month of farming. This might require a computer simulation to optimize out the strategy.

Besides artifact routes (and the coop trick to extend and loot more) you can also do MORA RUNS! Helps not only get a little bit of extra fodder (around 40sh artifacts a day), but over 200 000 mora a day (that I usually spend all on leveling artifacts). Personally I strongbox artifacts up to lvl 12 and it really adds up.

27:06 You can get at least 7 elixirs in 5.0 - I got 1 from extracting, 1 from BP and 5 from Natlan exploration (2 from sigil offering if you get it to lv 20 and 3 from the Obsidian fragments/rings - fragments are found randomly in precious/luxurious chests in Natlan, finding 3 fragments lets you craft a ring (1 for each tribe) and the rings unlock a locked area within the tribe - each area has 1 elixir and all five 5* pieces of the 2 new artifact sets - one of them actually turned out great for my Mualani). I've already crafted 1 ER sands and 1 %Dmg bonus goblet (rolls could've went better, but at least it was still an upgrade compared to what I had previously for those 2 as they didn't even have double crit) and still have 1 elixir remaining, which I'll save for now.

Jello, I crafted a flower for my Furina!! I farmed that domain for months and months and never ever got anything better than 25 cv. So I used my elixir for one flower it rolled 45 cv. I would argue that using sanctifying elixir to complete those character builds that needed the most improvement is the best way to use it. Unless you plan on farming the new set, going back to a domain or strongboxing, I still think improving character builds is worth it.

I think husk should have gone in the great for strongbox where you initially placed it because so many geo characters want to use it or scale off defense. It’s also a good option for geo characters that don’t scale of def as a standby while farming their specific set. Actually you can get 7 elixirs until now and i think they are going to give one more for free with the rewards fot the annual celebration. You can get 1 by using your artifacts with this device, 2 by leveling with the pyro sigils up to level 20 and finally 3 one from each tribe after unlocking some caves near them, where you can also get 10 new artifacts in each cave, 5 from the one new set and 5 from the other. However in order to open them you need to craft a special item for each tribe composed of 3 pieces, which you can obtain 1 by doing each tribes warrior challenges and opening their chests and the other 2 pieces by opening precious and luxurious chests near the vicinity of each tribe. But be aware some of these chests are locked behind world quests. I hope that was helpful.

Like, should I start to see the flowchart from the top-left, as we normally read things? It seems that the start is from the middle but it also flows sideways instead of only down. So there is hardly any hierarchy to be able to know from a glance where to start and where it finishes. Also, it lacks consistency. Like, "Roll it to the next level" and "Level to 20" are the same color, but "Level to 16" is not. Even though, actually, I think "Level to 20" should be red instead because it's the end of the flow? Also, its readability could also improve if the yes and no were more consistent (like all "no" going left). Right now is pretty random. there are actually quite a few more than 3 of the sanctifying elixir. 3 alone can be found in secret spaces, one per tribe in natlan. The natlan "tree" gives one every 10 levels, one is craftable every patch, one from the battle pass and, allegedly, we are getting another one from a upcoming mail.

There are 3 more elixir you can get, not just one. By exploring Natlan you will find ring pieces in completely random high tier chests. You need 3 pieces per tribe/area to craft a ring. This ring is then used to open a door in that tribes main settlement. Inside of each room will be some of the new artifacts and one elixir.

I still think goblets are going to be the best overall. Being able to use a solid goblet on set allows me to use already good circlet/time pieces. I disagree that you shouldnt use them on a character youre currently farming for. Theres always a chance you min roll your elixir piece, so it either gets you closer to finishing or maybe does mothing, but it possible for a nothing burger no matter who or when you use it for them

I think the best use is to get the piece that lets you stop farming a domain and move to another, because if you are specifically fishing for a piece and all of the others are irrelevant you could be getting better pieces on other domains that you want to farm

It's very hard to set yourself back in Genshin unless you are a brand new player. I legitimately didn't farm artifacts for MONTHS because I was busy, and it didn't take long to spool up my characters. There's a video that does a great job of showing how much farming it takes to reach 75-80% of your characters potential and the diminishing return curve you experience after. I do have the perk of having a very mature account, so I don't NEED new sets usually, and I don't need new characters for the most part. Younger accounts will likely need to be more selective with their investment, but there are some very safe domains to invest in. Ps. Always test an "upgrade" before getting rid of a piece, and sometimes it's worth keeping a piece for a future character.

Don't forget that reputations offer artifact xp now. Leveling artifacts refunds some xp in the new bp as well. Don't be too scared to test some artifacts to +4, especially since +4 is optimal for elixirs.

Just gonna say this since everyone somehow misunderstands this concept. It's like that meme of "girl math is I used cash so it's free" Nothing you can do in Genshin can send your account backwards aside from getting rid of weapons you already own, getting rid of artifacts you already own, spending accrued primos/wishes where you don't need to, and debatably some constellations (C6 Bennett). Everything else can only slow your progress. Farming inefficiently WILL NOT SET YOU BACK. It will slow your progress and set you behind the theoretical peak, but you will never go backwards from farming.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the Transmuter should *typically* only be used as a “get out of jail free” card for whichever domain you are trying to escape from. Free resin is stonks There are some really good reasons to use it on a specific piece tho. Sands are better for late game players since they will always have offset goblets. Goblet can be better if you have multiple characters that will share the piece, especially for a set that other characters also use. For example, making an emblem electro goblet for Yae/Raiden/Beidou will likely free up a sands/crown for your Yelan/Xingqiu/Xiangling to use. It’s kind of like a 2-for-1 deal.

I do it in scale: I use 5 condensed runs 63 times per domain and move to the next using what I got. I don’t look at them after every run. About not using sanctifying elixir for circlets: I'm a 1.0 player and I spend about 1000+ resins every year for a elemental mastery VV circlet for Kazuha/Sucrose and I've never got it, so yeah elixirs for circlets are tottally worth it specially for artifacts that are not much resin efficient like VV+Maidens. If is not resin efficient + it's a rare main stat like elemental mastery just go for it if you have everything else you needed from a domain.

I believe it's better to get EM sands with crit sub stats for vape/melt carries. EM main stat is the rarest stat to get ever (1%), and many vape/melt prefer EM sands over Atk, and can even go for Atk% goblet and dispense the dmg% ones because of extra dmg% sources on the team, like the future Xilonen e0s1 or Kazuha or Furina and so on (Xilonen e0s1 will probably be the best support for multiplicative reaction btw). This is the way to get the best out of this scenario. The trend is to have more and more vape/melt carries precisely because the Pyro and Cryo nations are here.

My general rule concerning flowers /feathers is up to lvl 4 if it a 3 roll with 3 usefull stats. If it rolls another usefull level to 8. If it a 4 liner with 3 usefull stats level to 8. Can be more lenient with the other 3 pieces
