@@counterkidnapping1737Haha I know what you mean. I think he’s a lot more efficient with it but it’s not a crazy thing to say. It’s not just his footwork, either. I think Jeff integrates his dynamic head position in a similar way. I don’t mean his evasive head movement, because I think he does that differently than Cruz, I just mean his head position when throwing techniques. This was a great video to watch. Jeff, you're an incredible teacher. Knowledgeable, precise in technique, and patient. Heck, I learned a couple of new things from just watching I'm going to be happy to implement myself! 🙂 It was great seeing you with a total beginner because I saw a lot of my starting self in Andrew as I'm sure a lot of people did. Unfortunately, most beginner knowledge of fighting comes from the two worst sources possible: movies and TV. A little bit better nowadays with KZbin and MMA so prevalent, but misconceptions still abound. So it's completely understandable to see where he was coming from. To his credit, massive improvement in a very short time. I'd recommend he continue training on a regular basis and hope he does so.

Ernesto Hoost used to do this. First you have to find out how the enemy parries if he parries with the upper shin then you don't go for the lower shin attack, you go for calf kicks.

This video was awesome. To take someone with at least a little boxing experience, and turn them into a beast by the end of the 7 days goes to prove that Practise Makes Perfect. The knowledge drops here were great. And it also shows that with a great teacher, dedication and repetition the improvements are off the charts. To cram so much into a short space of time really brings into question how effective a lot of martial arts classes are being with their students. I would have thought this kind of progress would be at least a 6 month process of dedicated and regular hard work, not just ONE week!

The length and focus on the complex instruction required for the guard, roundhouse/rebounding roundhouse, and doubleleg + entry we're great showcase to the real process of exchange and drill. student skill at start; 2. By the end of the episode, it had at least double to a 4. confidence smoothness and focus, as well as clear repeated iterations of the techniques you taught good safely bring him up to a five.
