I SO wish there was a gym like yours in my area (Colonial Beach Virginia). Although i known what you teach can be done at home, a gym like yours takes away the distractions .

It's like saying it'd be crazy not to feel anything after getting kicked in the leg. You feel things that are brand new more than the things you do for 20 years.

I've always wanted to be able to do some moves like in this vid (most basically flips). I broke my back 25 yrs ago and have partial paralysis [almost nothing below the knee & significantly reduced hip & glute strength (~10-20%)]. Since I have zero calf strength, i can't really jump. The highest I've ever gotten was 15 years ago when I was in the best shape since the accident was up three steps. But now I've lost much of my mobility & need a cane to walk 100+ ft and can't jump up one step. I want to start training some of the movements I see in your vids. Some I know are possible others I highly doubt are (eg I've never been able to stand on one foot for more than 10-15 sec). But quite a few i think are possible if I get strong enough and practice, eg pistol squat w/ 1 finger on a wall for balance, flip off a ledge to a VERY soft landing (water or foam pit), and a kong box jump (I think what you called it), that many therapists think is not possible for me anymore😒 The biggest payoff would be less likely to fall & if I do, not hurt myself. But that hasn't motivated me in the last couple of years. The prospect of learning some of the moves in this video, I think, will motivate me to get back to where I was 15 yrs ago, and returned mobility will be a nice byproduct 😅

I’m a healthy 77 year young. I’m a native of New Mexico living in northern Italy to be with my daughter and 5 year old grandson. I’m a retired firefighter. I want to maximize my potential over the next 30 years. I want an online assessment and to start on a program to maximize body strength, flexibility, mobility, and agility. I love your mindset and philosophy on training. Please tell me how I can train with you and when we can begin. Thank you Lee. Ali The Fire Guy

Hey! How can I learn from you? I really like your philosophy, and really want to take it slow - but build a strong foundation. Does your method improve posture? Where should i start? Got kyphosis and anterior pelvic tilt I think, - also forward shoulders and head. I sit alot... But move during the day at work. And why do I have to give away my phone number? ;s Thanks! :) God bless.

@@LeeWeiland but if you don't have access to equipment, esp for things like flips, how do you do it safely? Do you just do smaller steps in your step by step progress?
@LeeWeiland
@LeeWeiland Жыл бұрын
It's all different. Some will get access to a facility. Others buy equipment. Others elect to specialize in non-flip Elements of Powerbatics. And Freerun/Tumbling element has a whole non-flip track which is more technical but no flips.

Hi Lee. I really like your videos. I live in London. I've done a lot of sitting as an engineer over the years. My IT band causes pain where it joins into the outer knee joint. Tight glutes, TFL and Psoas. Stretching helps but it's a long road. I was wo dering, are there any places that you could recommend in London?
@DikiBolz
@DikiBolz Жыл бұрын
I had the same problem and only strengthening my legs and glutes resolved it. Squats, lunges, step-ups, weighted glute raises, RDL, these were the exercises. All the best!
