@alexpuls82194 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was worried about the ramps kicking out when he went up. The straps weren't tight holding the ramps. I've loaded a quad in a truck and blipped the throttle a little too hard and kicked the ramp out. The quad fell halfway off the truck and I bailed to get out of the way.

Tip would be that it is really easy to break the rear cab window, or dent the bed in the center if your push bar extends past the tires. Especially with lower powered ATV's that need some throttle to get over the tire humps.

@@northerntoyota7584 My S10 didn't have enough room for blocks on my ATV. It was 2 wheel drive and kind of jumpy at low speed. It was just narrow enough to go over one tire hump, that was much easier than doing both humps

Chevrolet has a 2" longer bed and also the quad your using is the largest and newest in the industry. Your average quad would have fit in this truck when compared to Ford and Ram.

That is the hardest thing about about ATVs and halfton’s. 5.5/6.5’ bed, tailgate has to stay down. I’m looking at a 3/4 GM or 1 ton Ram/Ford with an 8’ bed. I have traveled with the tailgate down, but I want to close the tailgate and avoid rock chips on my tailgate. Tfl should look into reviewing a diamondback cover.

What I'd like to see being loaded are the double-decker atv racks, or the two up over the rails loaded from the side. Saw one rig, they had a platform over the bed rails and when they unloaded the ATVs they set up their tent on it.

@@chemawatersa377 Compression of the pickup suspension makes the safety straps tighter (not looser) because a shorter distance between the tailgate and ramp creates a force on the ramp pushing away (not towards) the back of the truck. Only way for a strap to be that loose while loading is it was not tightened before the suspension squats and loading has begun.
