The combination of nicely set sequence and patchbay/synth parameters makes Crave a really great bass machine with lots of articulations and happy accidents. I'm showing here some examples, but I'm sure there are many more things hidden in this synth.

I've only had my CRAVE for a couple of weeks, happily making basic sequences and playing it over MIDI as another synth. But now you have opened my eyes to its full potential. I had no idea. Also, this is the most expressive video I have seen on KZbin. I hope you make some more about CRAVE. Well done sir! Feeling inspired, I'm off to the studio 😃🇬🇧👍🏻

Really great video! I'm playing electric bass and was just thinking about getting some device like the crave for having fun ... not just playing to a drum loop, but get some synth sounds as bass for jamming. I was just not sure if crave or other devices will be good ... but since this video, I fall in love with the crave. So I know the theory of synths - but your video just showed me the practical usage and how great these sounds can be. So for me - you are an magician of sounds on this device. Thanks for this video!!! GREAT! I just imagine to run the output also to tube (style) bass amps ... could be real fun ;-)

Just watched this vid, loved it, you display uses for the crave that are 1.21 gigawatts beyond what I've done with mine. I left a comment asking about what drum machine you use with the Crave, and then clicked the Starsky Crave sequencer tutorial, but I hit the back button to give this vid a thumbs up, because I forgot! When this page reloaded there were 909 thumbs up... I was faced with a dilemma. I decided to break the perfect synchronicity and put you at 910. Less elegant, but maybe a drop more juice for the algo! 🤣

This kind of reminds of what the PCF ( "Pattern Controlled Filter") function achieved in the good old Propellerheads Rebirth. Interesting blurbs from the filter changing in a pattern that is in sync to the sequence playing! Something the old regular TB-303 (or the Behring TD-3) couldn't do!

So first off this is a great tutorial and I've watched it a few times. I learn something new each time. I'm guessing you are triggering the sequence and the kick using Ableton at 120 bpm. My question though is how can I tempo sync Crave from Abletons' clock and run other tempo speeds? I can start/stop playback from Ableton but I can't tempo sync the Crave. I have tried midi clock and various setting in the Synthtribe app but none seems to work?

Hello, if Crave gets external clock via MIDI/USB, Tempo knob sets the division like 1/16, 1/8. No extra patching is needed for this.

@AntonAnru

first of all you should set buffer size as low as possible. then Options (upper menu) -> Reduced latency when monitoring. then, don't use monitoring and recording on the same track. 1 track for monitoring, 2 for recording. final step, Ableton Live has lessons inside, find on in Audio Settings -> Driver Error Compensation and do everything suggested there

I want to try the k2 as it seems modelled after the korg which sounds really nice to my ears, iconic. Thanks though I didnt even realise you could do those things on the crave it really is rich in features even with limited osc and env

@@AntonAnru I guess that is it, I heard others have similar complaints about the neutron, nasal and harsh, and they cut the over drive and filter out of the signal chain with the patching. I just dont know why they had that over drive in there it really was nasty imo and even when fully off seems to be in the signal chain.. like the delay it bleeds into the circuit. Not sure about the behringer synths so far, seem hit and miss but behrigner always been a bit like that.. I have used their products for 20 years and loved many of them! :-)

Может ты и на русском сделаешь подобный обзор?! Я думаю многим будет интересно и более понятно...

Понимаю. Но очень много времени уходит. Многие в России в принципе понимают, тем более с родными акцентом ещё легче

You should have done also a tutorial to make this sequence instead of selling it…

Hope this is not what you do on daily basis: telling other people what they should do

@@AntonAnru just saying that you’re making a tutorial on a sequence that not everyone has. It would have been easier to follow the tutorial if we had the sequence note and everything. Not telling you what you should do. Just a noting lol

@Antoine_Jldt sorry if i got you wrong or was rude. Some people like what i do, but they want it free and no selling. This is what i don't understand

@@AntonAnru oooh no worries 😉. Sometimes it’s easier to understand what you see or do if there was a tutorial on maybe just the bass line you’ve done.
