Very interesting concept of 2 very different food types. They all looked yummy. Well, except the lentil dish. Back story..... Dan and I were treated to a lentil dish by a local famous chef. It was delicious. Unfortunately, in about 30 minutes, both our guts blew up like Derby hot air balloons. We absolutely farted our way home in the car with windows rolled down. Not enough GASx in the city of Louisville to help us. Needless to say, our relationship took on a new level. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Anyway, this food looks sublime. Wonderful descriptions of the dishes. So kind of you to support this family. 🙏🙏🙏

Great Food review on the rare Afghan and Italian combo restaurant. Never had Afghan food, looks awesome. BTW, Good job Mr. Goodall and Ryan, on supporting this small business after all the things they went thru. Like you said, most would give up after they lose their loved ones, but they have the resilience and grit to keep it going forward.❤😊

This is Ryan. Yes, Barry has been a good mentor for me, not just in food reviews but he has helped me get out and enjoy little things. I had been reclusive to social functions for years, personal reasons, and when he welcomed me into his platform it helped me realize the good out there. I stopped by today at this resturant. What a great family and on top of it, delicious food and service. Whole family was so humble. I didn't know they lost the son :(, but girl( sister may be) mentioned briefly, and I was stunned!! Anyhow, great food. THIS is def. My go to place now ❤❤

Lansing, Michigan has the first Afghan restaurant in Michigan, Noosh, that opened a few years ago. Their Mantu is exceptional.

Recommendation, if you bring friends to eat with you, why don't you share the plates and get their opinion on the food as well and I mean that in a friendly way Mr. Goodall! Also Friday and Saturday, bellissimo is open all day from 11 am to 10 pm . Sunday same thing but closes at 9 pm . Monday is the only day the restaurant is closed.

GOOD meatballs are very hard to find these days, even in NYC where you would think they'd be on every corner. That's why I rarely order meatballs in a restaurant, especially if they aren't proven. They allll say they are good and made "in house", but most are just flavorless. And I have never seen any Italian restaurant give out 5 meatballs in an order! Usually only 2.

Two weeks ago my wife and I visited this restaurant for Date night, on the recommendation of Goodall country Kitchen and after reading the reviews. we were looking forward to dinning Here, instead of going to our favorite Carrabba's Italian Grill. We drove up around 4:pm Friday , notice two people outside smoking, a lady and a man, we walk in the lady walked in after us, looking very sad and unperson able, we were seated, place an order for an appetizer, no one else in the restaurant at this point , after waiting for 10 minutes WITH NO APPETIZER the lady came over and said the cook went to the store she will be right back , we waited no one came, so we got up and left . We went to LAS, margaritas, the server greeted us, the Restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, we placed out order, the food was outstanding, everyone we encountered were so friendly, they even gave us samples of different Margarits, we will definitely revisit this restaurant. but not Bellissimo Restaurant. I give a -0 rating for service, didn't get a chance to try the food.
