You did great! They look like such FOOLS! This was the exact intimidation demeanor I stumbled onto when I met with the brothers. I never knew this abuse existed until that day...at that point I had not looked into anything apostate, had never been in any trouble, and I was dumbfounded how I was treated just for having 2 doctrinal questions. They were determined to get rid of me immediately and forced my disassociation same night - thank GOD! They had nothing on me and no answers for my questions ...so they got a piece of blank paper and asked me write that "I no longer want to be called a Jehovah's witness" on a blank piece of printer paper. When they asked me that, it clicked - there was no way God was with them, near them, or knew them, and I wrote those exact words down. Once I wrote that, they said forcefully "sign it!"...and I did. I walked out in disbelief and never returned.

There are plenty of recorded judicisl meetings that go nothing like this. This one went like this because he made it clear he was looking to create an opportunity to sue them. That's why he had no interest in the meeting if he couldn't record it. He left 4 years ago. He's not in any way offended at them acknowledging that he left. He's just trying to use the situation to pocket an easy settlement. Believe this video has already been downloaded, and if he sues, will be used to throw his case out as frivolous.

Amazing video Eric. I was baptised in 1976 I has doubts for many years but pushed them down . I became regular Pioneer elders wife studied the bible with many people we brought our 3 daughters up in this cult but I woke up in 2008 and made the dicision to leave at that time I really didn't know the full extent of lies that we had been fed over the year's when I found out through my own research I was truly devastated. As yet as far as we know we haven't been df but I have a brother who is an elder who has nothing to do with us they refuse to listen to anything my brother told me that I belonged to Satan because I left this organisation at a time when I was carrying and looking after our precious mum who was also a witness but totally respected my decision and it really upset her the way he and his wife treated us especially me. I still feel very effected by being totally controlled by these people but try to enjoy my life with our beautiful daughter's and we have 2 gorgeous grandsons. I had several thoughts viewing this. One was the brother's outright lie that this meeting was a "Shepherding Process" when in actuality it was a judicial hearing. The first brother who opened the door looked shifty-eyed and continued to look shifty as this meeting continued. When you drove up, the driveway was blocked, there are some brothers standing guard, a show of force?!? What the heck was going on? An obvious attempt at intimidation. They actually wanted this man to remove his jacket, (most KH are cold because they just love that darn air-conditioner) because they are afraid of being recorded. That type of fear means they have something to hide, something they don't want the general public or the rank and file witnesses to know about. It is interesting that the main talker, I believe his name was Brian, kept saying that this meeting was on, "OUR TERMS". All three of those brothers look guilty. Then they turn around at the so-called appeal meeting, they double down on the "OUR TERMS" and all of your witnesses are not allowed, never mind what is written in their OWN PUBLICATION! These people are insane! They just want to control, manipulate and exert authority. This is nothing more than a gang-up! You need to sue them for stalking, harassment, and emotional stress and damages. It would be fun watching them squirm! Why do they want you alone?!? Hi, Eric, I became inactive in 2013 after the society introduced their new Bible, I was surprised, what was wrong with the Bible we already had, I was told it was the best translation, better than any other translation. Even though I became inactive, I still went to their memorial, but I didn't go to the 2019 memorial, because of the opening song was all about the chosen ones, I didn't sing along with the congregation that night, I can't understand why they couldn't sing a song about Jesus, after all, that's why we go, because of what Jesus Christ's did for us. I said that night I would never go to the memorials ever again and I held to that promise. I wrote a letter of disassociation to my local congregation stating why I didn't want to be a Jehovah's Witness anymore, on the request of the COs last visit, now I regret writing that letter, I wish I was disfellowshiped I would have felt better, at least I could have been a voice at my appeal. This way they got out of it too easy. Because of the letter, I'm being shunned, something I knew would happen anyway. What hurts the most I was told by a JW friend of 14yrs, long before the disassociated letter not to come to their house anymore because I didn't believe in their teachings anymore. To think I wasted 30yrs of my life, but I'm a lot happy now because I've learned the truth about the truth.

Barry, that’s an upsetting story...here is the silver lining. The Bible says to worship in spirit and truth. You won not the other way around. I was an apologist for the doctrine of the trinity and I have gone strait to the Bible for my answers and changed. I ask for forgiveness daily for my imperfection and I love God more than anything in this life. I ask Jesus Christ constantly for forgiveness of those who deserve if they hold false doctrine yet believe in the Lord. I do not know if I will make it to see Gods Glory but I love him regardless and Jesus is the only one who can save my soul from the separation. Take any religion that allows for private ministering or confessions... you are not allowed to secretly record confessions. Recording things in public places is fine, but if you're in a place with a reasonsble expectstion of privacy, and secretly record, you're breaking the law. That said, I think judicial committee meetings SHOULD be allowed to be openly recorded. And the person interviewed should have full authority to either choose to maintain discretion OR choose to publicize it, as they see fit. ... but these attempts to bait people into situations you can sue them over is pretty low-class.

To be fair, judicial committees aren't a matter for lawyers. If he's been an elder, he would know that it's not about guilt and punishment, for which you need to argue a case. It's a matter of counsel and repentance. A person innocent of the accusation itself, but demonstrating that they do not want to remain in the congregation ... is allowed to leave. A guilty person who acknowledges their faults and are repentant and wants to stay... generally can (although if they violate a secular law, the congregation's forgiveness doesn't negate legal consequences).

I have (JW) family members (who are not disfellowshipped, they're just negative to be around). So I don't go around them. Them agreeing to leave me alone is kind of in my favor, not a punishment. I don't follow them around and tell them how much I dislike them and why. I don't try to convince others to dislike them. I leave them alone. They leave me alone. Both if us were adults. Nothing untoward was involved, but somehow I was called in for a judicial committee. Something truly pharisaic is happening within the organization.

I want to thank you so much for showing in your clear and concise videos the truth of this organization. I was a member for fifteen years, and left feeling unwanted and unloved. Unfortunately, I had feelings of guilt and personal failure for another 25 years. There are other KZbin channels by former members which, although enlightening, are too aggressive for my taste, and I have pity for those who have turned their backs on God because of their experiences. Sounds horrifying. I’ve studied with the witnesses and really enjoyed all that I have learned thru them, though there are a few things I disagree with one being 1914. There are many really good people at the hall I attended however I do not agree with disfellowship. This is a humiliating experience for many families and leaves a trail of embarrassment and hurt and also when you need your Christian friends the most they turn their backs on you. This makes no sense and I really don’t believe it to be Jehovahs will since Jesus and Jehovah forgive us for our sins. So listening to this it sounds like you are not allowed to make your case. This does not feel like a good environment to subject yourself to. I would not have gone.The guard thing feels like prison and I’ve never seen anything like this in any church environment. No wonder when I tell people I’m involved with this organization they tell me to be careful it’s a cult. I always defend them but this takes it to another level.

Bravo. I’m going to work on a video tomorrow. It is my belief that someone, maybe you, start a class action suit against the Watchtower and Tract Society for violation of your civil and human rights. You have the right of due process, the right of notice, the right to representation and if they refuse to give those rights every member should be aware that their baptism is a contract with the organization where your human and civil rights can be removed for any reason. Premium fuel only Actually that is not exactly true. I am trained in law and religious groups are not allowed to violate civil and human rights. Priests get sent to jail for child abuse, ministers can be sent to jail for fraud and misuse of church funds, ministries can be dissolved for serious human rights violations. This has been happening for decades, the Watchtower and Tract Society is not immune. What a person can do is sue for these violations and ask for specific restitution. One of the things I brought out in my video is that this organization must have written policies that they must follow and if they aren’t flowing those rules they can be sued. Furthermore there is problem with them holding an arbitration without allowing someone to have a defense and allowing for representation; that is against the law. The Legal Branch knows this, which is why they have written procedures so they can’t be sued. You are being judge, convicted and executed without being allowed to have a defense. Furthermore, this man is not a true member, he has been inactive for 4 years. He is being tried for wanting to not be a member and that is a violation of his Human Rights; which is detailed in the Declaration of Human Rights Article 18. They penalize and persecute non members who simply change their mind about their current religion. He can sue and have any decision reversed because of violating of their own rules and not allowing him a defense and due process.

That is so scary they would treat an elder of 40 years like they did. It was very much like the Pharisees, it scares me to the point that I don't want to go back. I was disfellowshipped 20 years ago for smoking. However recently I was visited bye two elders, loving elders that I really cared about asking them to help me come back. The horrible thing happened before my hearing was able to even occur, the brother who came to my house had known me since I was a young child of 5 years old he loved me dearly, I know he did and I loved him he actually performed my wedding ceremony when I was younger. However, two weeks after visiting me he ended up in the hospital with an arterial aneurysm and on his dying bed his words to my father was he wanted to make sure as soon as he got out of the hospital that he was going to make sure I got reinstated. That was the most loving unbelievable feeling I had that some brother that I haven't been able to even see for over 20 years still loved me like his own daughter. I felt like he love me more than my own father who is also an elder and has been for over 30 years. ( But has never done anything himself to try to get me back to being reinstated) and the brother that was helping me was my dad's best friend. The bad thing is when he died everything stopped no one has contacted me again my mother I believe has tried to get the congregation that disfellowshipped me allow the reinstatement. I do believe in all my heart that if that brother was still alive I would be back in the Jehovah's witness organization. However, after seeing your video it frightens me so much that if I did one little thing out of order that I would lose my family all over again. I've learned to live somewhat, without them over these years. Not to say I haven't been very suicidal very depressed, bedridden and unable to function as a useful member of society at this point. I think the mental drain of what I have gone through in my life as being associated as one of Jehovah's witnesses since I was a five-year-old child and my family are very high up standing in the organization. Me being the black sheep I feel inevitably something would happen and I would lose my family all over again and have to suffer losing them again. my heart would not be able to withstand that again and I do believe I would end my life. So after seeing this video I do not think I will be taking the risk of going back and trying to become one of Jehovah's witnesses again to me I feel they have changed so much in their treatment of each other I don't see how they can even call each other brother and sister. Actually I do see because Cain and Abel were brothers and what happened there. I hope all of you others out there that are disfellowshipped and longing for your families, we're going to be okay I know it's hard I know you think about it almost every minute without realizing it. But this Brother did say we are being refined as well and hopefully, as I do I still believe in Jehovah I still love him I don't love the organization. But I love my God and I love Jesus Christ for what he did for us so that we could atone for our sins. Because we all do sin. Jacq Werner this was a very fine and personal comment. I am still in a Jw congregation and at the moment I don’t want to leave. It is a relatively non draconian cong, being in Sweden haha, what would you expect. No one can decide for you if you should be reinstated or not, but to me personally I see my friends as individuals and my congregation as a congregation. For all their normal human faults (imperfect like myself), it’s not they who have hurt me. It is (some of) the leaders and certain people in authority for treating the sheep harshly. But it’s a personal decision, of course, for me I would lose more than I would gain by leaving. We have a lot of friends who give me and my wife support and I don’t want to give that up. On the matter of, is it God’s organisation? Yes and no. Every human has a chance to be part of God’s ”organisation”, that is, Christianity. But I don’t think anyone except God or Christ can judge anyone as being a ”true” or ”false worshipper”. @@Shmynkellbonkenstein Sam, I'd like to ask you a question. what does it mean to be a TRUE Christian and what does it mean to BE a Christian? and what I mean by that isn't there more to it than just going to meetings and reading your literature and maybe have a Bible study which is not always common for everyone to be able to be fortunate enough to have. I know behind closed doors you know you pray and study. Without in public when people see you how do you show them that you were Christian and day-to-day life what things do you do how do you act what types of things, adjectives, actual being a Christian what does that entail and I don't ever get it or understand it. Like with my parents it's always been about going to meetings and studying there was really not much else besides that. you know once you got things like that out of the way I guess it's how you might say it I know it sounds crass. Then they would just watch TV or more my dad would go play golf, but I really didn't see anything besides meetings and them study and go out in the service. And I never saw any type of like true Joy of being a Christian. I mean it says to give of yourself to others is that feeding the poor doing things on a charitable basis. my dad yes he was a building supervisor he would go where New Halls needed to be bill or if all it been torn down he would help with the replacement aspects of it. But in everyday life in a family setting it was always very drab existence we didn't have a lot of fun in the home you know. so I don't really understand what it means to be a true active Christian. could you help me with that. what does it means? thank you so much for your comment I really appreciate you responding I can't get the answers from family

Jacq Werner I understand many of your concerns. Yes I see what you mean, many people are so focused on ”doing enough”, going to enough meetings and spending enough hours in the preaching work. Personally I think the best way to be a ”good christian” is to pray to God, believe in Christ’s random and see Christ as the ruler. Then try to do my best to be loving, nice and helpful to others. It’s not about works, it’s about love and to let love motivate us in what we do. For all his craziness, Rutherford was right about one thing ”religion is a snare and a racket”. There is no true religion, but there is true worship and it isn’t bound to any specific denomination. If the local cong of Jws or some other church for that matter, helps you in your worship, then by all means, associate with them, but if not, then I understand if you want to stay away from organized religion. You should always follow your conscience, pray and base your decisions on the bible, and not let anyone force you to go against your conscience.

”By this all will know that you are my disciples-if you have love among yourselves.” John 13:35. To love God, Christ, other believers but also non-believers, having a spirit of love in dealing with others, that’s what I see as most important. If we start there, we won’t have to worry about ”doin enough” or ”measuring up”. Maybe it’s a good thing we can’t ”do enough”. We need eternity to show God and Christ our appreciation for the ransom and all other gifts in life. I pray that we get eternal life, because infinite time is needed to show appreciation for an infinitely valuable gift.

Samuel your last comment about two weeks ago, when you spoke about the verse in the book of John and the comment that you made was beautiful and I just want to thank you so much for you communicating with me. you are the only one that answered my questions and continued to answer them. Wow! As a fellow ex-elder, I cannot believe this is the same organization I so wholeheartedly supported for the first 47 years of my life. It has definitely transformed from a misguided group of Bible students into a terrifyingly sinister cabal of men drunk on their own self-appointed authority.
