You would've loved being you in the 70's and 80's, when you waited for the latest album to come out, gone to the record shop to buy it, raced back home to check out the album art and sleeve notes, then laid on your bed with your headphones on and your eyes closed, and played the LP from start to finish. No skips. No jumps. Straight through. Nothing better! Another great reaction. 👍 👏👏👏 Thank you

Freddie wrote from fantasy, Brian wrote his story, Roger wrote for rock n roll, and John always wrote from the heart!! I love this song with Freddie’s pure vocals. Thank you, David. 🥰

the part that you sang slightly resembles the ending of under pressure - 'this is our last dance, this is ourselves' etc.

I was thinking that too

It is in fact 1Million and 4 times that you have commented how much you love Freddie's 'Clean' voice...Yes I have been keeping count. ...But I love it too. Ahhh!!!! Freddie Freddie Freddie.
@DonnaleaSpencer2 жыл бұрын
John's written a charming little song here. And Freddie, well his voice is so sweet & pure in this one. I really like it for it's softer, lighter sound. My Queen song book reads that John not only wrote it, but played the bass, lead and rhythm guitars, reversed piano and some percussion. I have no idea of the accuracy of my song book, though.

Lovely song from John. Freddies voice as always, perfection. Somebody mentioned in the comments Fun It and Allan said he forgot it off the list for this album, so you need that one to complete it. It's a Roger song so you will love it. 💕💕💕

Yes David knows that ones still to do. I'll have to stop calling myself a Queen fan by making a schoolboy error and missing it off the track list 😳

I adored this album when I first heard it as a teen. It is quite mainstream and mellow (apart from Dead on Time which has the heaviest riffs of all, Freddie's vocals are great throughout the album.

Good choice David- Queen was just unbeatable! Do you read up on them? It will draw you in even more- those high bits of Freddie!! All reasons I’ve been dedicated to Freddie and Queen for 45 years- keep going sweet man- lots more to come/ especially the whole concerts- Milton Keynes Bowl in the beginning of the 1980’s! I think- to me- that Freddie really popped in 1981-on-

For Freddy's softer voice, in your own time, check out my melancholy blues live in Long Beach 1977 and the Original rough mix of the Same Song (studio) and queen who needs you acoustic version written by John Deacon, also Dreamers Ball the Acoustic version and You Take my Breadth Away live in Earls Court 1977 and YTMBA, Gothenburg Sweden 1977 with a clean high note towards the end to name a few

Might ø'the pattern you mention recognizing be from Under Pressure when they/Bowie sings "'cause love's such an old-fashioned word..." towards the end? I've never thought of it myself, but now that you mentioned it, it's what I thought of.

More than likely about John's wife, they were married way back in around 1975 and John is the youngest of the group so born around 1950/51 and he's extremely quiet I don't think either he or his wife dated that many before they got together,they still live in the same house he bought when they sorted out the management from taking their money
