@just_dom144 Жыл бұрын
@@sumanchhetri1809 It’s been almost 50 days. First week was tough with intense cravings to smoke and minor headaches with vivid dreams. Weeks 2-3 consisted of intense “headband” type migraines, nausea, and more vivid dreams. After about 3.5 -4 weeks my headaches slowly faded away, energy levels started to improve and the cravings were nonexistent. Anxiety peaked around weeks 2-3, but now is considerably better, and way better than when I was smoking (and I used it for years thinking it was a cure for anxiety 😂) I also recommend the book/audiobook “Dopamine Nation” by Anna Lembke, it helped a lot to understand the dopamine system! Good luck!

I decided to quit smoking because I planned on going on a vacation where THC is illegal. I was a daily heavy smoker and took edibles to help with my insomnia. I quit 1 week before my vacation cold turkey. I had insomnia for 3-4 days. Cold sweats. I was an emotional mess crying non stop thinking and reliving a lot of awful memories from my childhood. That’s when I realized I was using weed to self medicate and numb me from my child hood trauma that was causing the insomnia. The withdrawals was probably one of the worse experiences of my life mentally and physically but it was a blessing in disguise..I threw away all my weed so I wouldn’t give in. After a week of no weed I went off on my vacation and I had the best HIGH of my life seeing another part of the world. I was in denial for many years and used weed to help me forget. Im now 3 weeks no weed and I feel amazing! No more insomnia and I feel like a new person. I’m seeking therapy and treating the underlying issue that caused my insomnia. The withdrawals was painful but it was good pain. My body and mind is finally healing. So if you’re struggling RN..remind yourself this pain is temporary. Keep pushing..you got this!!!

Thanks for sharing that. I'm about to go through something very similar. We're leaving for vacation 8 days from today so I'm getting rid of all my stuff so I don't relapse. Hoping to feel high on life! I know mindset is key bc I've been able to quit nicotine back in July from changing my mindset. I'm definitely self medicating and I don't even get high, just don't feel anxiety so now I gotta find another way but stay strong. It can only go up from here!! Congrats btw!

This time I have to quit weed and nicotine, and man your videos are helping me sooo much. Reading the bible and praying really helped me, and if anybody here is addicted to menthol cigarettes or menthol anything a vapo inhaler will give you the same "burn" effect as a cig. I'm coming up to 4 months clean after a decade of daily abuse. Stopping was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I sort of got over the cravings in a weird way. I "demeaned" the addict in me, told it to screw off, it's a pathetic child, or a loser that needs to get a life. My anxiety has pretty much gone, I'm more level-headed, have a more positive outlook on life, more energy, and to top it off, I've saved hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Even the smell makes me nauseated now, Im never touching the stuff again. I found your videos helpful for the first couple of weeks, so cheers, I appreciate the help.

Can u help me out with ur withdrawal timeline? What were the symptoms of withdrawal and how long did each last? N did u need medical assistance of any kind by a professional?
@John-wz1mb Жыл бұрын
@@sumanchhetri1809 first 3-5 days are mainly sleeping problems I just went with it. Literally couldn't sleep until 8am. I slept through the morning until maybe 1pm. I literally cut out all sugar and fatty foods while going to gym to try tyre myself out so I could sleep next night. I also used sauna and steam to sweat out as much of if it as possible. I used cold showers as soon as I come out of sauna or steam room and went back in for more sweating while drinking as much cold water as I could. I honestly sweated so much and also when I did sleep for the little time I did I woke up drenched in sweat. After about a week I started to kinda of get normal sleep patterns back like 2am to 8am. I felt the physical withdrawal was gone now it was the mental side. This was just more boredom than anything else I think. And thinking I'm never gonna have fun again without weed. I was high on weed since 12 years old and I'm now 33 so over 20 years of it. Things felt very different but I just tried to embrace it. I watched movies I watched when I was high and found them so interesting as they would be more vivid and I honestly would see bits of the movie I never noticed before because I was always high and now I wasn't. I started having dreams and nightmares. And I never dreamed for over 10 years atleast. After the next few weeks it became bit more boring and very tempting to smoke weed. I stuck with it and said I didn't get this far for nothing. As it came to about 6-8 weeks I started feeling a whole let better I was also going gym and still hitting sauna and steam so I looked a lot healthier fresher and stronger. I honestly found it easy the last month and I feel like I never have the need to smoke again. Some of my friends smoke weed I needed to avoid them through the first month but now i can be around them no problem and they can smoke if they want I simply don't and its no problem for me to see them rolling and smoking I don't stand to close as I don't want to inhale it. But yeh 3 months on I honestly feel good. Definitely a lot better than I did waking up everyday still high from night before and rolling another one as soon as I was awake basically. NOT GOOD. I've been high for way to long and honestly it feels like I missed out in a lot in life because of weed. I have good life doe I'm married to beautiful woman. I have 2 sons with my ex partner. I have loving mother and father and brother and sisters. And I've also been ok for making a living. I just do imagine I could of done a lot better without weed. Maybe own my own business or business,s but I'm thankful for life I have. And very happy to not be high anymore. I wish u look with giving it up 🙏✌

I’ve considered this very notion, quitting on my first run, to save me from the hardships of relapsing. In all the research I’ve done, they say that only a small fraction of people who set out to quit smoking actually accomplish it. I like to believe that maybe, I’ll be one of the few who does. One of my favorite motivational speakers is Earl Nightingale, he was on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor and was one of fifteen surviving Marines aboard that day. But maybe in this case he’s a bad example, since he did love to smoke cigars. Btw I’m 64 days cannabis free, and 109 days nicotine free. Any other 30 year olds on the mission to quit, I’d like to hear from you! I started to quit cannabis around December 5, 2022, but didn’t experience CHS, didn’t have any of the symptoms, is it safe to assume that I’m ok, or does CHS creep up on you later on in abstaining from marijuana?

1 I love everything about the comment. 2 you are 100% better off quitting one time versus several. Why do back after all that progress? You listened to the “warning” and stopped something many people will fail to do

Tbh I’m a week in now, and I have my appetite back, I’m able to sleep, but my chronic vasodilation from cannabis use is becoming worse. This is the only withdrawal symptom that’s really kicking my ass. I could sleep really well at night if I could just breathe! I’m going to try some corticosteroids tomorrow finally, I hope it will give me some relief otherwise I may actually end up dying from sleep deprivation at this rate. Last night was the worst where I only slept for 1.5 hours before my nose turned into a brick, I’m so scared it’s only going to keep getting worse before it gets better. Fuck cannabis
@davidhayes9045 Жыл бұрын
Yeah fuck cannabis.. 30 years it had me by the balls.. im going on 6 weeks clean. I stopped smoking also.. only vape now. No sleep was hard for me also..and when i did sleep, crazy vivid dreams. it gets better with time. Youve got this under control.. hang in there :)

First 24 hours are no prob for me, I noticed I then get cranky. I don’t feel physically hungry but I can eat, the thing that gets me the most is the insomnia and night sweats. I smoked all types of wax for years. About an 8th a week, but I transitioned into cbd for a couple days, then quit that.

It's been two weeks now and I have touched an ounce of weed. I believe that I'm done with all the withdrawal processes. I feel more down to earth if I could put it that way. And to be honest, it was actually easier than I thought. Keep in mind, I've been smoking for more than 7 years. The best advice I could give you guys, is to try your absolute best not to even think about it. I did this by (believe it or not) gaming to the point where I only focused on that and nothing else. Just some advice, DO NOT play a game that you could get bored of. The game I played was Apex Legends. And let me tell you now, if you're consistent with it then you wouldn't even realize that you don't crave it anymore. Follow my advice and you'll be back to your normal self in no time
