For those new to pressure washers for home use, the best thing you can do is make it easy and accessible. If it's packed away waiting for the next use, you'll put off the project or just use the lawn hose because it's more convenient. If the pressure washer is easily accessible and ready to go, you'll start to use it much more than you ever imagined. Over time, I've figured this out and now on my 3rd Ryobi 1600 over many years. 3rd unit because I leave it outside 24/7 and use it constantly, even in harsh NE winters when temps allow. It's strategically located with a 50' hose and can easily reach the driveway and pool so I almost never have to move the PW. Hoses are always connected and the only thing I have to do is turn a water supply valve and plug it in to an outlet. Ready to go! When it's that convenient, you'll use it constantly.

Love the FAN variable nozzle on the Harbor Freight Portland 1750. It allowed me to keep spraying my 20 foot high houses T111 siding without stopping to change nozzles. SAVED me a lot of time to power wash my entire house. NOTE: The Foam Detergent bottle that came with the unit (FULL Black Top) did NOT work (NO foam and the detergent barely streamed 3 feet). I went back to HF and swap it out AND this time they gave me a smaller bottle with a GREEN tip and it worked just fine - foamed OK up to my 20 foot roofline. VERY pleased with this unit !

Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well kzbin.infoUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.

I've been using the Portland for a year with zero problems. I planned on buying a 100' uberflex hose and pistol gun anyway so I didnt care about the accessories. I bought the 2yr no questions asked warranty for like $30 so if I breaks I can run down to HF and get a brand new one and be working again in 30 minutes. I cant do that with any other brand no matter how expensive they are. I highly recommend it.

@@nikolainoga2913 I went with the little rectangle ryobi. I seriously considered the stand up ones and all them but I decided if I wasn't going gas then size and storage was a perk for me.....it's not too heavy to move around the car and I got all of Josh's suggested accessories, New wand, hose, orrifaces and foam cannon and I was beyond excited for our first warn day in awhile here to break it out and wash my black car. The quick disconnect and quality hose and such really make the difference. I think every washer in this review would work just fine for a weekend warrior car/toy wash guy. I don't do home maintanance so that wasn't a concern for me.
