@resonaire6 жыл бұрын
Michael Smythe its likely a ton of nostalgia... But if it isn't just that, then I'd also point out that since newer games tend to have voice acting maybe a lot of composers create newer tracks with a "background" approach... Rather than a truly melodic and front-stage more memorable approach. That and maybe the whole "limitations in hardware spurred creativity" thing was at work too...but then again its prolly mostly nostalgia... Maybe...

From ''Illusion of Time (Gaia)'' we must also include 2 pieces : ''Will's dream'' , and '' In the Earthen womb''. Just magnificent

Of course this starts out with "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms"/"Geno's Woods"... XD One of biggest ear worms in the Nintendo arsenal. Man, now I want to chill out playing some videogames with SNES drunk in an air conditioned garage with an open cooler of Jarritos or something. You near Atlanta, brother?

So I've been listening to this and your other music videos at work for like a month now. Just wanted to let you know that I really dig it, man. Good mix, great background music. Keep 'em coming! If you have a decent collection you should do a game room tour or something.

Great music taste! Listening to some of these really makes me want to revisit some of classic games. First time I ever played SMRPG I must have heard that song 50 times before I discovered where to go. Keep up the good work, enjoying your videos!

Man, Axelay's soundtracks is one of the best of the system and it is just for an SHMUP game. I've always found this crazy.

Based on the music selection you and I would have ridden bikes together, SNES drunk. A bond has been made here.

27:43 I wonder if this was part of the inspiration for smash bros melee's music

Wow, Terranigma's Light and Darkness intro sounds just like menu 1 from Smash Bros Melee.
